Blizzard knows how to make the same game, and fast.

Don't you think that's kind of an oxymoron? When Blizzard says Soon™, its safe to say you'll be waiting for quite a while. The boys at Blizzard really do stay true to their company name. They're like tightly packed glaciers, situated on an obtusely steep cliff lubricated with molasses. They'd happily subject themselves to a community forum blazing with fire not unlike that of our summer sun than budging even a inch closer to their goal that they wouldn't have expected otherwise.

Not that this has anything to do with the Dragon Age sequel...I just felt like getting that off my chest.

This is why developers license engines like Unreal 3. You spend lest time developing the engine and more time developing the content for the game itself. Now with Dragon Age they already have an established engine along with scripting, art, and conventions for doing certain things. They just need to focus on making more content using the same techniques they did for Dragon Age, and far less time tweaking and optimizing the engine.

Hopefully there will be a few more expansions to keep us occupied and up to date with the DA story after Awakening

i doubt this is correct because bioware is currently working on ME3 (cant remember where i found it) and said there first priority is to continue on the mass effect franchise = no dragon age game for a while, maybe not one at all

Unless they been working a lot expansions at the same time -- they are very complex after all -- I don't think they are doing that --- during DA:O & DA:A at same time is a lot, adding a third -- ouch

If ya a biware fan as in the neverwinter nights and what not the bioware game engine they use in pretty much all their rpg games is really good and it allows them too pretty much puke out new games when the need arises.

Bio has had multiple games in the works at the same time for many years. There's no reason to believe that development of one precludes development of another.

I think it was only in the US (maybe Canadian too?) editions of the game.

Well Bioware did "announce" DA five years ago. IMO I think Origins and awakening and this next "hint" was all in part of the five years worth of making the game, then released at different times.Maybe the answer is a little of both. It was at first a expansion. but after the dissmal feedback on awakening. They decided to scrap it as a expansion and make major improvements and made it as in DA2

LOL indeed. When I read the message by Chris Priestly, saying 'yeah it's something awesome, but i'm not telling you', I was like 'Hmm.. I've heard that before'. As they say, fool me once... <_<

It's the announcement of a series of ipod games that take place in Thedas, that will 'bridge the gap' between DAO and DA2, which will release a year later.

LOL yup, it'll be way less than we expect. A friend once said "If you go through life, expecting nothing, you'll never be disappointed." That logic works wonders when dealing with marketing hype for games.

Seems to preclude any QA, though, at least if Awakening is anything to go by.

Hopefully EA / Bioware doesnt let us down.I know alot of people will be disapointed if this isnt Dragon age 2 including me.They left us with such a cliffhanger with origins, with the whole Morrigan god child thing.

Plus! if you think about it They have been working on Dragon age for years. They have the sequel story already lined up Im guessing with the dialogs. Now they just gotta add the material.
