I hope it looks more like a traditional SMG... unlike the Tempest, which is really a machine pistol. I'd like to see something akin to an MP5 or P90.

Its funny. We get all this free DLC and people complain. When we get our first DLC we have to pay for people aren't satisfied. What is with you people? I'm gonna buy the Kasumi DLC. BTW it was hard typing this on a cellphone.
It's to do with quality...
The free stuff is mainly weapons that are ok, armour that will never be used due to the helmet issue and missions that lack substance.
The paid stuff seems like it's also going to be lacking in substance.
That's why people are moaning.
I'll think about it, but afrer Pinnacle Station and what i've read so far about this DLC, i'll wait untill the reviews come in before getting it.
Which is a pitty really as I normally buy anything with the Bioware name on it the day it comes out, site unseen, but after what they did with ME2, i'm not doing that again.
Also... If this is DLC that has to be paid for then does this mean that Kasumi isn't going to be in ME3?
Afterall, not everyone is going to buy the DLC and you can't really import your save and all of a sudden know someone that you've never met.
I think she will, she was in the suicide mission in that leaked footage they showed, so they more or less have to include her in ME3, although we really don't know how far after ME2 the next game will take place so you might not have everyone in your crew

I would think it would be the last one before they started charging money...instead it's the first one to charge money.
I've not got a problem paying for an hour and a halfs new content.
Although this would be the 12th squadmate, and I remember when they initially changed the old ME legacy site to incorporate ME2, one of the bullet points advertising the game was "recruit 12 squadmates".
Kinda makes me wonder whether this was also game content which was held back to turn into cheap DLC.
Either way I'll buy it, so it makes no difference to me really.

I think the big question is is she romanceable?
If you can't talk to her outside the mission how/why would you be able to romance her?

"How does having to pay for DLC affect your chose to buy the original
game? The game still functions without it. That logic doesnt make
sense. There was paid DLC for the original How does having to pay for
DLC affect your chose to buy the original game? The game still functions
without it. That logic doesnt make sense. There was paid DLC for the
original Mass Effect, so it was only a matter of time before there was
paid DLC with this game. Dragon Age had paid DLC, so its not like this
was the first time they did it. Every other game out there now these
days has some kind of DLC. "
I live in Brasil. Everyone in here pirates games, it's "part of the system". Games are incredibly expensive, due to our currency (1.7) meaning if i buy a game i pay 70% more than you guys pay, even being a worse economy. Thankfully, i'm trying to develop a conscience, but the current state of gaming industry really isn't helping.
I, like Bioware, i loved the first Mass Effect (bought it during a Steam weekend sale), and when the sequel was announced, i was thrilled. I put a lot of thinking on how i would acquire this game. Not that it's worth 60 dollars ( or 1/5 of my intern salary) , but i though Bioware deserved the money, not just for the game, but because at least they're different, they supported their fanbase and with EA becoming "lees evil", i trusted that this company wouldn't backstab me.
So, i bought it. Even though there was a leak before launch. Even though pirates have more stuff than i do because i didn't pre-ordered it from 3 different places. Even though I had to download 12gigs on 500kbps when i could use the same bandwidth to get a "complete edition" for free.
And now this. Problem isn't even the price, it's just what it means.
tl;dr: i trusted them, they fucked it up
P.S. sorry for my bad english :3

Bioware fanboys would give up their lives to protect Bioware, how ****ing sad.
Cerberus network is the biggest failure in gaming DLC. This is the horse armor of 2010.

Yeah because you can make a claim like that on a feature that isnt even 3 months old. Come back in another three and you have a right to make that statement.

Arguing over how much they might charge is a valid claim but not the
fact it has a price tag alone
Of course it does. hurr derp duuur derp.
And within current gaming industry, "standard business practice" is backstabbing your fanbase. Every company should take on valve's example, and understand your fanbase beyond waifus and squid jokes.
