First of all, I give any money I can to the homeless. Secondly, I see the same people asking for money, then going into a liquor store and using it on something that they don't need.

here in australia, i had to pay double (yes, 2x$60), to get CE, even when the exchange rate was almost 1:1. MS points in australia are more like 40p = 1 dollar. how can you complain when you are getting a sweet deal? why are you haggling over a few dollars? it doesnt make sense.
i love ME2 more than any other game ever, and ive probably sunk more hours into it than the $120 i payed for it to begin with. i will pay for kasumi because an extra 1 hour of the best game ever is more than enough to persuade me.
also, australia is a first world country, so none of this 'not target market crap please'

If i knew there would be paid dlc, i wouldn't have bought the game. I actually thought Bioware deserved my money (i paid for the Deluxe edition, for christ's sake). Then again, i should expect this from EA.
Betraying their paying customers. What a shame.
So because something optional and extra is going to cost money, you wouldn't have bought the game? When every other game and company is doing it? I would think the story or horrible gameplay elements would keep you from buying a game, not optional stuff you don't need, that you can get for the price of a Big Mac. Sorry, I'm just trying to see the logic in your very compelling argument.
It comes down to this people. If you enjoyed the game and the atmosphere it creates by all means pay for the DLC and enjoy more of it. If you did, but you don't have the cash to spend on it, I suggest asking around on the streets for some spare change. A skilled grifter makes $100/hour. Now if you didn't enjoy the game and the atmosphere it created, why are you even here?

Its not BioWares fault if you had to pay double. Complain to whatever government officals are in charge of import costs. As for MS points complain to Microsoft. Bioware sets a price $7 US, Microsoft converts that into point costs.
M$ and EABW are using the same cash to point ratio.
M$ just doesn't sell points in the same increments are EABW.

The way I see it a Kasumi dlc in addition to the Zaeed and the Hammerhead packs (the only worthwhile parts imo) should have been part of the $15 Cerberus network Card deal in the first place - it makes sense as that barely constitutes value-for-money as it is.
I'll stand by this when I say that the only question BioWare should be asking themselves when cooking up the next batch of dlc/price points is W.W.B.D.(What Would Beth Do)? because like 'em or loathe 'em they not BioWare continue to set the bar and the tone for the entire industry and have done for more or less the past decade and so far what we've seen from BioWare hasn't measured up on any meaningful level on title after title.
Case in point what would Bethesda give you instead for little over 560 microsoft points (800); full blown expansion packs more like whole new games busting with depth, variety and replay value. Despite all the constant re-assurances of having learned from BDtS and Pinnacle Station this for all intensive purposes for all the world looks to me like they are attempting to palm us off with more of the same old ****.

I guess the reason why this thing is such a big deal for some of us is that it just seems like a wasted oppurtunity to have made a great, fully realised character like the others. Oh well, haveta wait and see

you misread my post. i am not complaining that it is bioware's fault that i had to pay double. i am instead questioning why people are claiming a rip off when they have to pay peanuts for DLC.
heres an idea. go without a big mac meal for one day. im sure that will finance your dlc payment

Go without a big mac? Below the belt my friend. 5 or 7 dollars isn't peanuts for DLC, its fair. How in the world did you end up paying double? I could order something from Japan cheaper than what you paid.

in australia, the CE price from every store on xbox was $120. now if maths serves me correctly that is infact 2x the american price, even though our exchange rate was almost 1 to 1 (as i already said)
im also not debating the fairness of the price (which we dont know yet). i am just saying that people only have to go with something for one day to cover the cost. i have some MS points saved up for just this occasion, but for future dlc i will go without a slice of pizza and a coke one day at uni to cover the cost. its not a big deal

I imagine shipping and dealing with Australian gaming board? Lord knows I'd go crazy if I had to deal with those people. Not that familiar with the tax system over there as well. Could be some taxes getting passed along to the consumer.
