Kasumi....August,2009 Gamescom. Interesting.

That's not really interesting at all. She's on the disc yes, but only her dialogue and a placeholder. Her power, real model, Loyalty mission, the dialogie of the other characters, etc. isn't in the game.

No-one's disputing whether or not she's on the disc, dummy.

I am not convinced the Free DLC parade is over. I think both free and paid DLC is in the future.

This is just the beginning of the Pay DLC parade :D

Oh, I completely agree. What I meant to say was that the Free
'Major Content' Parade is over. We will still be graced with the
occasional free new Weapon or Armor. However, Kasumi,
I feel, harkens in the end of the aforementioned 'larger' Parade.

What is your point exactly and what are you disputing? You posted an article we already knew about and said "interesting". How is that interesting? We knew about this 7 months ago when the artcle was originally posted.

Maybe you should be more specific with what you mean instead of accusing people of being "blind".

Was hoping for Kasumi to be part of the free Cerberus dlc stuff, but oh well. Excited nonetheless. Hope they also release those stupid pre-order bonus items sometime soon. *fingers crossed*

She was intended before the game was pushed out.

Notice a door that cannot be accessed or examined but it's a part of the ship un-explored. Happy paying up for the DLC and supporting EA's idiotic "Project Ten Dollar".

yeah if they release Kasumi for free they would really be spoiling us, but it would be awesome.

How can you guys be complaining when there's gonna be a bar in Kasumi's room? I mean, c'mon guys that freakin sweet! And you get to be like James Bond! And it takes you to a new place!

It's unfortunate that BioWare announces this and instead of getting excited for it most people just complain about the price and how it was (supposedly) removed from the core game.

It proves they wanted to add her eventually, and they did. Anything beyond that is speculation.

Saying that the content is already partially in the finished product isn't the same as me saying it was cut.
Having a suspicion is different then actually making a claim. I am trying to edit myself so I don't make that accusation.

I apologize if I inferred you were saying such a thing I just felt the other side needed to be said.
Which ever side you are on it does not matter. Both are just speculative positions and I doubt a developer will come in a confirm either.
As far as DLC's and what not is concerned. I got a great game that I enjoy very much, which is on par cost and content wise of most every other game around.
I will wait and see what the DLC actually holds before I choose to buy it. I have not bought RTO because I did not find it to be worth what was being charged.
What bothers me most about this article is that it contains a new SMG.  Thats just bs in my opinion. Worthless armor and heavy weapons have been thrown our way but when it comes to one of the most underrepresented class of guns, the new one is put in a paid DLC.  The fact that the SMG's are used by almost ever class only compounds the issue.

Who said I was disputing anything?! That's simply just you mindlessly assuming I am or was.

No, not "people", just you.
But hey, y'know what? I take it back. This issue is not one of blindness...but of your over zealous wilful ignorance.

Moving on....

I really don't know at this point.
I thought constant DLC would be cool but the only DLC I had history with was paid DLC and xpacs.
In reality having a game that feels complete then every few months get paid DLC that has substance; just feels like the DLC is more of an addition to the game not something that was removed and added back.

I am not claiming things were removed and added back in this DLC it just feels like it...tough to explain.

I will most likely buy the dlc but I will probably feel disappointed with my purchase after . The dlc for ME1 was the same way for me . I would pay for 4 or 5 large dlc like fallout then be nickel and dimed for these small ones. I think Bioware has to step up its game for dlc if they want everyone to be ready and eager to hand over more money. Although i'm looking forward to dragon age awakening dlc.

I'm most excited for a new smg for my infiltrator, actually. Even if the mission/character sucks, which I doubt, the smg, if its good, will be a staple of my playthroughs.

You're either extremely dense or you're being extremely dense on purpose.

Ok let's be more direct.

What the hell was the point of linking up an article from 7 months ago? Not only that, but a fairly well known article, then saying "interesting"? You probably assumed it was some new piece of info, and when I pointed out it's not you took offense.

Next time don't post something from 7 months ago. Or if you do don't be so thin skinned when someone points it out.

:pinched: And you were doing so well up until now with the Cerberus Network concept, too. It almost felt nostalgic, getting minor bits of content for free instead of paying out the ass for them...

Kasumi is going to take the other observation deck, so that means there won't be a bar there.

man, some "fans" really are so goddamn cheap... why does everyone expect everything for free?

i'll be happy to pay a few pounds for a decent addition to the game - why not?

People like screaming "foul" because you can find files for Kasumi and other stuff in the game. They feel entitled to said items in the original purchase price. The idea of pre-planning is a foreign concept. It seems like people also think that the minute the DLC with a price tag hits the free stuff is gonna stop completely. Its all speculation at this point and people ready to turn EA into the evil money grubbing monster.(Given prior experience of EA this thought is rightly justified)

People however are quick to make assumptions. There isn't even a price tag on the DLC yet and people are telling them to  **** off. Personally I almost hope just from the lack of maturity on the forums sense the two articles released they make it some insane cost. Along with a statement saying..."Well guys, we planned to give this away free but since everyone called us greedy bastards we might as well go with what the majority feel anyways. "

According to BioWare, none of the DLC was cut from the game.

I'd
rather see Bioware give us, the consumers, the choice to either get the
Kasumi DLC for free or the Hammerhead DLC for free using the Cerbarus
Network. Depending on which one you choose for free, the other will cost
you whatever amount they seem fit. Seeing how some people feel that the
majority of Kasumi's DLC was content cut from the game, and that the
Hammerhead DLC seems to be very different from what ME is, a RPG/Shooter
hybrid, not a "Battle Tanks" game. Overall I would rather pay for the
Hammerhead DLC than pay for the Kasumi DLC.  Just Food for
thought...

none of the kasumi content was cut from
the game (this also goes for the free cerberus content). it was
developed from the ground up after the game. the only stuff that was in
the game at the time of ship is the stuff you can find in the stubs.

when
looking at the value of the pack, the playtime is only half of the
picture. where other competing dlc modules may use recycled areas and
existing characters, kasumis mission is entirely new. not to mention - a
new SMG that you get to use for the length of the game - and Kasumi
(and her powers and alternate costume).

from a value perspective,
we've been trying to give away quality free items via cerberus so far
(and again, none of it was cut from the main game - its all brand new.
not many developers out there care this much). so when it comes to
bioware quality paid content, we hope the reception will be good as
well.
