Where is your proof expect for Hammerhead and Kasumie? Thats right you have no proof that the other stuff was already in the game. If you don't want to pay, then don't no one is forcing you, I would like it to be free but it's not going to happen and to start complaining like a baby is not going to help.

Yeah it's not at all suspicious that Zaeed/Normandy crash site were available at release or anything.

How do you know that they where working on it before release date? You have no proof and yet you jump on the hating EA banwagon. I rather have EA own Bioware then anyother company >_>

EA? EA? *Blinks in disbelief* You would rather have EA than any other company?

Something tells me you don't regognize patterns. EA is one of the most profit focused publishers in the buisness, shown by their tendency to release a game with half the content cut so that they can sell it back to you and sucker twice as much money from you. Why the hell woud you want a dev to be owned by EA?

So you rather have M$ who would charge for everything, or Activision who is worse then EA, or would you rather have 2K own them and pull a Biosohck 2. Sorry EA might have done somethings that are not nice, but realy as of now they are the best company in the market.

It's clear EA would've demanded content to promote the Cerberus network.
Exactly how would the Cerberus network have been an incentive to anybody if there was no DLC to go with it on release?
Simple logic.

How do you that that stuff was going to rignly be in the game tho? You have no proof.

Haha, what is this PROOF you speak of?! They have audio files that someone else put into the game and recorded, that must mean, without a doubt, this DLC was cut from the game. Of course, logic would say that if something was cut from a game, then it would have actually been fully cut from the game, but no one needs proof to make the claims, so what use is logic, too?

i am not talking about Kasumie, I am talking about Zaeed and the crash site. There is no proof that was gonig to be in the game. I already know she was going to be in the game, I have heard her files and seen the suiicde mission with her. That is not what I am talking about.

My bad, I was referring to those complaining about Kasumi. I'll edit the post to reflect that

I really didn't want to approach the 'cut from the game argument' but even ME2, in its vanilla state, was released with quite a few bugs. Things like finding your character suddenly walking up in the air and getting stuck , or the OHAP weapon locker issued should have never passed QA. And some people in another thread are saying that the animation of Miranda getting swept up by the seeker swarms (final mission) will play, but then show the other team mate as being dead. These sort of things indicate the game is not a finished product.

I know I will probably pay for this DLC anyway if it includes a full character with all the trimmings, but the truth is there are more dire issues than content being stripped from the final release of the game.

That's because Miranda was never meant to be taken by swarms. You have to do something beyond gameplay mechanics to make that happen.

Or they were, you know, not completely thorough in their efforts.
Do you think it's easy to rip out content from a game? Do you think it's some sort of binary condition, either the content is in or out?

Well EA must be pretty efficent at cutting stuff out by now, considering they do it to every single game they release. But the reason that they left some of the Kasumi stuff in was probably to make it easier to reintegrate for selling it back to us.

EA are efficient at ordering  their developers to cut out content.
Developers who may not in fact like butchering their own games to please the Overlord.

I would rather have Microsoft, because while yes, they do charge you for everything, at least they don't charge you for things that they cut from the game so that they could sell them back to you for more profit, which is pretty much EAs SOP.

What? Flashbang? A Zaeed type of power? I was hoping she would be a sentinel kind of character like Miranda. Hoping she would get damping or something like that for loyalty power.

And I was hoping the paid content would come AFTER Kasumi. Having to pay to have the full squad is sad.

Well, that's EA for you. All the love and free content was too good to be true. Though that's the only DLC I'm gonna buy.

I'm inclined to think this is probably true; perhaps it's just wishful thinking, my inclination to assume "EA bad, Bioware good" is a little simplistic after all, but I still bet it is indeed the case.

The problem is, many fans are willing to pay to play the game instead of pirate it - BUT - you can get all the DLC ever released from every pre-order bonus and everything else - if you pirate the DLC itself.

EA and BioWare absolutely need to make the DLC worth paying for, or people can just pirate the DLC and still enjoy the full game.

I'm confused.  How is making the DLC better going to reduce piracy?  Better content gets pirated more, not less (and bought more, obviously).  Also, what's it to you whether the DLC gets pirated?  Your post makes no sense to me at all.

I don't pirate software, ever.  If I like something enough to play it then I'm obligated to pay for it.  This stuff isn't complicated; everyone knows it isn't complicated; some people with a badly functioning moral sense make up various complicated rationalizations and pretend to believe them for the sake of saving a few bucks.  (Note I am not accusing you of doing this, just saying that you're buying into one of their frames.)

If you still think they didn't have her completed before the game was released, then i honestly feel sorry for you. Obviously everything isn't there, but about half, if not more, of her content is in game already. Those videos show only a portion of what people have found regarding Kasumi. Don't be so naive.

I had no doubt that we would eventually have to pay for DLC. I thought it would be newly developed DLC and not the rest of the game. It looks like we are going to have to pay for the rest of the game that was cut. Some of it partially in the game already. When will newly developed DLC come out?

IMO, anything cut from the game should be free and newely developed DLC should be pay.

So, let me get this correct...

This character was either finished but taken out, OR it wasn't finished in time because the game was released too early. In any case, they expect us to pay for a character that should have been in the game from the beginning? Ha! Dear BioWare/EA, no money from me for this. Better luck next time. Nice try, though. <_<

It pretty much is EA's MO ever since that model has come about.  Except they cut content instead of leaving it on (Namco).  You can look at the Godfather, DA, hell even Dead Space and their sports games for examples.

I don't think BioWare are saints, but they did provide Bring Down the Sky to PC users free while M$ bilked out money for it from 360 users.

EA are notorious for interfering with their developers and driving them into the ground - look at Maxis.

Oh, I never said they weren't greedy. Pretty much all publishers are nowadays. But the thing is, EA is the one that stands out from them all in it's complete disrespect for the developers it owns, as well as it's customers. Microsoft might be greedy, but at least they realize that the way to maintain a consumer base is to keep them happy.

Are we talking about the same EA. The EA now is alot better then it used to be. I love how people use Eas history. They are alot diffrent now. Ubisoft and Activiusion are more greddy then EA for crying outloud.

Provide TWENTY free DLC items then charge for ONE and you no longer become a benign developer/publisher, you become a money-grubbing corporate jerk. That's some of society for ya'. Nothing to do but tolerate them, while we pay our measly five dollars and enjoy brand new stuff that has been added to our fully-complete-and-then-some game we've already purchased.
