ME2 is a huge step back compared to ME1

I hope the developers take a good look at what made ME1 such a great game before they start making ME3.

Take for example the controls. What happened to the Ctrl-Keys to switch weapons in ME2?

Or Shepards movements: He looks somehow "over-animated" compared to ME1. His moves are not as direct any more. There's a short delay when he starts to run - or stops running.

And: I just recently got stuck on a plant container. WTF?!?! I have no idea how I got on top of that thing - but there was no way back down again. So I had to stop the mission and start from the last autosave.

What I really liked in ME1 was the inventory. It's completely gone in ME2 :(

Ugh, go away. Or go to one of the many other threads discussing this. This will start nothing but a flame war and will not be helpful in the slightest. Plus, the near perfect reviews say otherwise.

I am impressed by your points. Refreshingly new and very original. Your arguments are insightful and comprehensive. I hope BW takes all this into account.

There is nothing cherry picked about his post; they are technical problems with the game.
He needs to head over to the ME2 PC Tech support forum.
There are some threads and maybe some user mod to fix his clipping/stuck issue.

I personaly stepped back to ME1 since a few days, after 4 playthrough in ME2, and i have to desagree with the statement of this topic. ME1 is a great game, has clearly his advantages over ME2 (explorations and inventory for the most), but there is an huge difference for me in term of entertainment in favor of the second.

But, I have to say that i would like a Mass Effect 3 = ME1 goods + ME2 goods + ME3 goods.

Post is sorely lacking in use of the phrase "dumbed down". You need to work on that.

I just love these forums. It's like debating the gestapo. :)

Oh, and by the way OP, welcome. Bring your flak jacket.

Those complaints have got to be the most minor issues I could possibly imagine. Even I, someone who liked the game more than Mass Effect 1 can think of bigger issues than that such as the overall story not being quite as compelling as the first game.

There's already a thread discussing players preferring ME1 over ME2.

End of line.
