Tali's romance made me feel like a sick pervert. But, to each his/her own.

Well he IS a husk. Maybe he meant that as an undead zombie he doesn't understand this emotion called... LOVE.

Alright, it made me feel like a creep as much as a fictional thing could do. Better? I'll also keep in mind never to say I love things either without clarifying that I would never actually date/jump them. Better? ;) More seriously, 'sick pervert' tranlates to 'it was just wierd', or 'Sheperd, you're a jerk, heh'.

LOVE.

Are you kidding? I picked the husk because I can just see him saying "Give us a kish!"

Why would it make you feel like a creep? Tali's an adult, you're an adult and she's more than willing. I don't get what the problem is.

So you are in fact the one who is in lust!

I liked the Tali romance. I thought it was really cute since she kind of plays the "Girl Next Door" role. But I don't think I can call it love.

There was no guarantee that the Antibiotics and Herbal Supplements would prevent her from getting sick or dying, so the sex was a lot to risk. If you love someone, do you really take that chance?

Still, it was pretty nice.

Not to be rude, but the people who say it isn't love because your risking her life remind me of the conversation between the Quarian and Turian on Illium.

You are a Tali fan, so my reasons won't make sense to you. Besides, explaining it is just asking for it given the umm.. abrasive manner a number of Tali fans have.

Tali makes it quite clear that she wants "the real thing" if she can do so without dying (she literally says so).

That said I'd have been quite happy to stick to a platonic romance, I just like her character a lot. I must say I had my doubts about the romance at first when I found out she was romanceable in ME2 but I think Bioware handled it very well.

To clarify, I think the entire romance is about trust. Something like that.

The Tali romance is the most emotionally moving one, and it is because of this and Tali's amazing personality that it is so good. It is an emotional story of Tali risking her life to be with the one she truly loves.

Or so I would think if I were capable of emotion.

This topic makes me sad. There's already many Tali topics in that other forum, I really wish this one could be solely about gameplay mechanics and builds.

Hell you can make as many hysterically bad Tali fanfics/fanart/hentai/Mary Sues' as you like, I just don't see why the Campaign forum can't be about plot and character personalities and this one one be about combat gameplay and character builds.

Or do you love her epic hips?

We are men. We find her hips attractive. But if all we wanted was skin and booty, there's Miranda. Not to say that Miranda is all booty because she's not, but she's a clear alternative if all we wanted was a sex mate.

To those that claim your Shep truly loves Tali...Why would you risk her life, her comfort, just to navel-grind? It seems to me, if you truly loved Tali...You would, for her sake...Not get it on! Instead, you would just...love her on a non-physical basis! I mean, sure...I know, I know...the urges and what not...

The answer is yes. We love Tali for her personality. Her body is of course icing on the cake, but is not at all the most important.

But come on! She could die! Is it really love?!...I think you people are just Xenophiles.

Tali wanted to be with Shepard. She wasn't concerned about dying so much as affecting the mission in a negative way -Tali is very selfless. And the mission in question was said to be a suicide mission with little chance of survival. In that light, she wanted to show the man of her desire her face and be intimate with him before their likely deaths.

When I say "love" I mean it in context of the video game. She isn't real and therefore could not elicit actual love from the majority of tali fans, who are sane.

the actual statement is "This forum is for fans to discuss their characters, the different
classes in the game and your suggestions/opinions on how to create the
best builds for the game."

the distinction between talking about the player's characters as opposed to just any character in the game is obvious, nevermind the context, but if these Tali fans had any reading comprehension skills in the first place, they'd kill themselves in shame.

K, I'll bite.
Tali is a weak character ... not tanky enough to go shotgun, chiktikka has much too long a recharge time, ai hacking is .. well .. ai hacking, and by the time she has energy drain, you don't have it for 2 missions it'd be awesome in (tali's own recruitment & loyalty).

Overload > Energy Drain anyway. At least on a squadmate. Shepard can make better use of the shield recharging thing.

So yeah. Keep her on the ship out of harm's way and (possibly) chat her up.

Quite the contrary. I've always been something of a xenophobe (blame Warhammer 40k). I fully agreed with Ashley Williams when she compared aliens to dogs, in respect to them not being as important as a human. But Tali's character grew on me. I actually felt guilty not giving her more respect. (Yes, yes it's a game, but I really like the writing Bioware does, and I tend to get into it)

Though I like Tali best, I think it's safe to say the majority of the fanbase is almost entirely detached from reality,
