I'd rather see Bioware give us, the consumers, the choice to either get the Kasumi DLC for free or the Hammerhead DLC for free using the Cerbarus Network. Depending on which one you choose for free, the other will cost you whatever amount they seem fit. Seeing how some people feel that the majority of Kasumi's DLC was content cut from the game, and that the Hammerhead DLC seems to be very different from what ME is, a RPG/Shooter hybrid, not a "Battle Tanks" game. Overall I would rather pay for the Hammerhead DLC than pay for the Kasumi DLC.  Just Food for thought...

none of the kasumi content was cut from the game (this also goes for the free cerberus content). it was developed from the ground up after the game. the only stuff that was in the game at the time of ship is the stuff you can find in the stubs.

when looking at the value of the pack, the playtime is only half of the picture. where other competing dlc modules may use recycled areas and existing characters, kasumis mission is entirely new. not to mention - a new SMG that you get to use for the length of the game - and Kasumi (and her powers and alternate costume).

from a value perspective, we've been trying to give away quality free items via cerberus so far (and again, none of it was cut from the main game - its all brand new. not many developers out there care this much). so when it comes to bioware quality paid content, we hope the reception will be good as well.

Well, that just nullified half of my arguments, since the word of a BioWare product manager overrules all.

It's not that we're entirely ungrateful of free content, but isn't it weird then to have her dialogue already in the game than to hire a single voice actress to record dialogue while developing the loyalty mission simultaneously? Not all the content that we're going to download is going to be new to us if we've heard Kasumi's voice before.

Only a few ambient lines from Kasumi are in the game. Thats not nearly even close to her entire dialogue :) Once we figured out the direction we wanted to take the character and mission, only then was the real VO recorded.

I guess you can only take the man on his word. However I'm also sure that they are legally bound to not be able to bad mouth EA. I feel that we are most likely only get a half truth in that statement in regards to what was "cut". Just my opinion. Image IPBImage IPB

As many characters in the game said.  They are there for Commander Shepard not Ceberus.     I support BioWare, Not EA.

Nope. EA doesn't gag us at all on this - im speaking on behalf of the very large team working their butts off on this as we speak. We welcome and appreciate criticism (compare me1 to me2). Just wait until the 6th. Ill be all ears then ;)
