If BW and EA doesn't make any money off of DLC, they will simply stop making any. It takes time to produce any content, and the chance they are just going to give it away (aside from a new weapon every now and again) is not likely.
In the end, you speak with your wallet. If you don't think it's worth the price tag, then you don't buy it. I will say this though, I am willing to bet if enough people say no with their wallet, they will just stop offering DLC.

this is a way to see it but there is another one , if they see that not much buys it because it's a Zaeed 2.0 without any dialogues maybe they will get a hint and make a better one next time , i know that im skipping her if Zaeed was nt free i would nt have got him because you cant talk to him at all , blame DA:O for spoiling people with ten times more character depth than in ME2 ,even random NPC you meet have more to discuss than Zaeed/Kasumi so yeah i ll pass on this one

I love how people overlook Zaeed without realizing he has more to say then Garrus and Grunt.

Let's support paid DLC now. Maybe with enough support now, we can get better paid DLC in the future?

Ah, but if you're willing to buy less impressive DLC, where is their incentive to improve it?

They are not going to "take a hint". Simply put: if their product does not make them money, they will move on. They have SW: TOR coming out, they have planned DLC for both of their RPGs, they are not going to do a complete redesign because forum goers say they don't like it. Do they listen to the vocal minority? I would say they do on occasion, but they are not going to alter their entire business plan for it.

It amazes me that some people get this feeling of entitlement when it comes to video games. The product is not being forced on you. Buy it or don't, download it or don't, it's always your choice.

Hey Raanz! Haven't seen you in a long time.

I totally agree with your post. It's overwhelming how ridiculous some people's sense of entitlement is getting. Why can't people just go "oh, that's not what I want, so I won't buy it" and just move on.

Got a point there.  I was thinking though, that if the DLC's now and in the near term didn't give Bioware a good bang for their buck, then perhaps they would be more timid regarding the development of more expensive DLC's in the long term.  Just a thought.

That's also a decent point. I just prefer to err on the side of caution and cynicism on these things. they are out to make money above all else.

The problem is, I haven't seen any DLC from Bioware that I would consider worth it*, so I have issues paying incase they might do something more to my liking in the future. They're not lacking for funds under EA I'll bet.

*Granted, on that, milage may vary and some will no doubt love what Bio have done so far. I'd just prefer to see them release afew meaty DLCs centred around story (since that's what Bio does best), rather than some tiny, neglegable missions where combat is the focus. There are tons of games out there that do combat better.

Worth it, not worth it... Just remember Wardens Keep, or latest Mass Effect 1 addon ;) I got both. Am I happy about that? No. With working Unreal Editor for ME1 I COULD create more advanced maps for the second addon! I was disappointed. And Wardens Keep? High price, for like 15 minutes of gameplay and few items (you already have like a thousand with toolkit).

Same story now, there was this Cerberus idea that was great but now they are more greedy again, selling bits of content, not even nearly a full finished product... This marketing strategy is bull**** IMHO and it's time for me to stop buying EVERY single thing that comes out. I already learned that it won't be worth the price.

You guys say: don't like it, don't buy it. Well, I want to state my opinion, perhaps there are people that have no experience with bioware mods for cash and wonder "perhaps it'll be worth my money?". Well, proven: no, it won't :)

Proven? Because you don't like it, doesn't mean everyone dislikes it.
And you're kinda contradicting yourself here. Because if you truly stated your opinion, it wouldn't be proof.
I for one, think it's worth my money - and yes, I also have experience with bioware mods/toolset.

Like we said: don't like it, don't buy it.
