Production on the game itself probably stopped about 3+ months before release in order to allow EA to publish a large stock of copies for release on Jan 26.The Angry One wrote...

none of the kasumi content was cut from the game (this also goes for the free cerberus content). it was developed from the ground up after the game. the only stuff that was in the game at the time of ship is the stuff you can find in the stubs.
So you're saying the Zaeed mission was developed and completed in *one month* after the completion of the game?
Yeah, sorry. I don't believe you.
Michael Gamble didn't have to post in the middle of a devolving flame war, but he did. That alone makes it worth believing what he says. With Zaeed, I'm sure when he says 'after the game', he means once the game disc went gold for manufacture/reproduction. That's usually a month before the release date.
Yeah, hence I said one month.
I find it difficult to believe that content was coded, voice recorded and ready in one month ready for it's Feb 2nd release date.
Kasumi DLC: How much are you willing to pay?

Stifling Bioware is a good way to 'rage the ****ing heavens' - Bioware's best reputation is for it's story development, turning otherwise mediocre action games (Let's face it, Kotor and Jade Empire are both average in terms of combat mechanics - they get repetitive and you always end up relying on only a couple of moves) and making them exceptional due to their story telling.
BioWare could probably add an immersive and heartwarming story to Madden NFL '11 if EA desired that it be done.
You start out as a rookie who is only ever referred to as his surname. Your coach is a guiding light through the beginning of the game but eventually has to give the reins over to you.
You are then tasked with recruiting a formidable team, drafting a rag-tag bunch of players who don't much care about football as much as you do. However, through some careful conversation you start to see eye-to-eye and gain their loyalty. There are girls somewhere. You can bone all of them. You can be a girl too, and bone some, but the guys definitely want you.
You discover that there is a greater evil that is hidden deep within the politics of football, but no one wants to believe you.
"Ah, yes. "Activision." A media conglomerate bent on world domination. We have dismissed that claim."
You're told that winning the Superbowl was impossible. But YOU SHOWED THEM. Through the power of a nuclear bomb contained within a gun you manage to defeat Bob Kotick. But there's more.
"Your team now has the attention of those infinitely your greater."
Then you leave on your ship.

No matter how many times we explain how this DLC isn't "free", you just don't get it.
Or
refuse to. Either way there's no use explaining it to you again.
Please, continue to think that these were all free gifts on top of a
complete game and shove money mindlessly into EA so they can keep
conning all of us.
Yeah, continue to lie to yourself while flaming me. That'll get you
ahead. Personally I won't waste my time in explaining the obvious to
someone as thick as you.
I just wanted to say I appreciate you not wasting your time explaining the obvious to me. Turns out the obvious isn't as obvious as you thought.

You're a cutie-pie. Just thought you should know. Facts have been stated, so people can choose to be ignorant conspiracy theorists all they want, because no one cares at this point. Except me, of course.
Bah, the horse is dead so I might as well drop it. Take care, Angry.

Hey I tell you what. Bite me.
You've been told what you wanted to hear, and you've accepted it.
Facts? You wouldn't know a fact if it slapped you in the face and called you Melvin.

shes already in the game, this is just unfinished work by bioware, same goes for zaeed.
get a damn dialoge wheel.
i really like zaeed and his banter and war storys, but was it to hard to just put it on the disc and a dialoge wheel with it?
releas the game later then i cant stand it, i get this is how they want to stop pirate copy's and 2nd hand trade. but come on!
dont make something half way cut it cause of time and then finish it off flimsy and relase it for money.
it should be free cause it seposed to be original content.
something really new id pay, something that shoud have been there no!

I guess you can only take the man on his word. However I'm also sure that they are legally bound to not be able to bad mouth EA. I feel that we are most likely only get a half truth in that statement in regards to what was "cut". Just my opinion.
As many characters in the game said. They are there for Commander Shepard not Ceberus. I support BioWare, Not EA.
Nope. EA doesn't gag us at all on this - im speaking on behalf of the very large team working their butts off on this as we speak. We welcome and appreciate criticism (compare me1 to me2). Just wait until the 6th. Ill be all ears then
I want to thank Bioware and the dev whp this DLC stuff together for us.. Thanks for all the hard work..

ME2 was already 13GB spread across 2 discs. It was probably easier to make him DLC than try to cram him in and lose an N7 mission or two.Lonely_Fat_Guy wrote...

$5
For around an hour and a half of gameplay, anything more than that is pushing it.
Agreed. If it's just a hour of gameplay it should be no more than $5 or free of charge completely - they shipped the game with the voice files included in the box - releasing it 3 months later (while we already have half the content in the game) and asking money for it is a dirty business strategy. Bioware should know better.

Regarding the voice files in the disc, you really should read Michael Gamble's post in this very thread before passing judgement.

I'll guess it'll probably be $10. Sounds like the right preference, what with a new weapon and loyalty ability...
Anyone that would pay $10 for a female Zaeed is a sucker, sorry. $5 would be pushing it.
Maybe if she had dialogue and possible LI implications, but just for a new red shirt crew member and a new loyalty mission? No thanks.
