I know there was a poetry thread around here somewhere, but hey, the more the merrier!
Here's a set of character-sketch limericks I wrote for each of my six differently-origined PCs this morning when I should have been working. I figured, why not share 'em? Feel free to add your own. In fact, please do.
There once was a mage from the Tower,
A lovely and delicate flower.
But when she cast lightning
Her power was frightening
And made all her enemies cower.
There once was a girl from Highever,
Attractive, but not very clever.
She slew the Archdemon
With hacking and screamin'
A highly successful endeavor.
There once was a dwarf with no caste.
Of Orzammar's ranks she was last.
You ought not to cross her;
She'll call you a tosser
And make sure you're thoroughly sassed.
An elf from the Alienage
Felt trapped like a rat in a cage.
She faced it with silence.
And later, with violence,
And found that she quite enjoyed rage.
A boy from a Dalish elf clan
Wondered why there was only one man
In this list of PC's.
Said the player, "Bish, please.
I play as a girl 'cause I can."
A girl of the dwarven king's court
Was nasty, and brutish, and short.
She took joy in the slaughter
Far more than she oughter
And liked to kick puppies for sport.
There once was a girl from Highever - Limericks for my PCs, feel free to join in
