I agree. I may find them despicable, reprehensible, revolting, diseased, genetically deficient, inferior, disgusting, unnatural, immoral or deviant - but I don't hate them.LOST SPARTANJLC wrote...
You can't stop someone from wanting to hate.As much as I don't like the way a gay person is I don't hate them.

NEWSFLASH: Lots of gay people have children.
Just look at Republican Senator Ashburn who has a family and kids and just came out after being busted leaving a gay bar.
Having the genetics to be gay doesn't mean that 1) you realize it or 2) accept it.
True. We also have to remember all those that are closeted. For example, you'd think that the preferences of a pedophile would have similar results in the long term, but a common genetic disorder may prove extremely hard to weed out, if selective breeding isn't practiced over innumerable generations.ReconTeam wrote...

"Hate" implies murderous rage. I'm thinking more of a "solemn disdain".JustAnotherVoice wrote...

Yet homophobes continue to shrug it off when you point out the data that they tend to be gay in greater numbers than non-homophobes.
Denial can be a powerful thing.

I'd like to see some solid data on that, because as far as I'm aware, that's some kind of gay-circle urban legend that keeps being repeated as fact. I'd also like a solid definition of "homophobe" for the purpose of establishing said data.diskoh wrote...

Ryzaki ,
Most probably have been gay for awhile , and I think they always assume they were just having a tough time.I think it was him that he got divorced and his wife left him with the kids.I only assume that not having to fulfill a role , he went back to what he had always wanted to be.
I think most don't say anything because they don't want an uphill battle trying to get elected , it's easier to think and be straight be elected.
