What's this newfound obsession with doors? Or is it just a matter of putting as many "doors" as possible onto a building, wheter they're necessary, useful or not?

Because it makes things more convient for other people than yourself?

On the asari beeing female.
First there are several meanings of the word female regarding the context you are discussing not an universal one. Back in highschool biology we had to lear the three levels of sexual characteristics (I think they even added others and now there up to five but I stick with the three I had to learn )
Primary sexual characteristics: Basically if the specimen has ovaries or testicels
Secondary sexual characteristics: Everything physical else that is different between the males and females of a species
Tertiary sexual characteristics: Everthing else that expresses sexual identity like clothes, grammar, ...

As far as the Asaria go:
Primary: The codex cleary states that they are all female and so produce through either partenogenesis or gynogenesis, depending on how much you want to stress the need for a mate to start procreation.
Secondary: Asari show every single sexual characteristic of human females, in the eyes of a human they are female.
Tertiary:Again they show every single sexual characteristic of human females so they wuld be considert female not only in anatomy but in gender too.

So the asari  are as close to women as possible while staying an alian race, claiming anything else is simply ridiculous.

Ok got it ,If she's like this

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parthenogenesis

This technically makes her half trans-gendered.But she is not fully transgendered because she only has for the most part one down their. Therefore she is 75% female (outward/internal), 25% male (internal only).

Uh...who said it had anything to do with the person's gender? When anyone period regardless of age, race, religion, or gender touches me I do that. *shrugs* Always have. I don't like to be touched. Its my right is it not? To be comfortable?

more to do with anyone who touches me is unclean...tainting me somehow...its hard to describe. People touching me casually causes me to clinch into myself as tightly as possible to avoid casual brushing of skin against skin. Shocking I know. No one is suggesting we throw up a useless door in the middle of the floor. One simply wants to be able to enter a room from two different ways instead of going around a giant stair case to reach the class.
Amazing things that have no influence on you making something better for other people? Scandelous.

Possible, but unlikely. If there's a door I wouldn't percieve as useful, why would there be people that would consider it useful? This, of course, posits the existance of a building in which we all use equally.

These things would invariably have an effect on me. If it is positive to others, chances are that they are positive to me. The comparison isn't apt, however, since this would be a door detrimental to my enjoyment of the building. If we had twelve midgets in a population of eight thousand, and putting in a midget door would create a draft for those eight thousand, but a minor comfort for those twelve midgets, should we or should we not build a midget door?

tl:dr; Midget doors suck.

I fully agree with your first two points - the third however is not valid, since we can assume that asari has adopted the otherwise more common way of dividing people into two genders, thus placing themselves into the female camp. They don't have a word for patriarch for example, and I doubt they would in their own language refer to another asari as 'her' - it would probably be more like 'it'.
