This is where the science and medical dudes comes in, and maybe alcohol for slightly dim teens. We'll live =P

Cute. If every human being trains as a computer engineer, nobody farms the food or picks the trashes, and everybody dies. Therefore computer engineering is wrong.

LOL good one! XD

But...I wana be a computer engineer. :(

Aaaaand, here we go again.

Y'know, I tried so hard to bring a little light in here, try and make some people laugh and cool off, but it always comes right back down to right and wrong, good and bad, and all that.

I'll tell you right now. I did not choose to find that girl in my class attractive. I didn't choose to find House actress Olivia Wilde attractive. I did not choose to find a handful of other girls attractive. And if that's wrong... here comes the cliche... then I don't want to be right.

I'm inclined to believe that it's a genetic thing. And maybe, I'm technically a genetic abnormality like a handful of other people who are attracted to the same sex. We all start out in the womb as female, after all. Maybe some things got messed up in development. But if I was born with an extra toe because of some genetic abnormality, I wouldn't expect to be ridiculed. After all, is my extra toe offending you? No, it's tucked away from your eyes in my shoe. And unless you have some crazy reason to be spying inside my shoe, there shouldn't be an issue.

Bah, look at what you did. You made me all serious. GAWD. WAY TO GO.

Say, you guys ever heard of The Eagle Nebula? One of the most beautiful formations in space. Image linked for hugeness (it'll take you a minute or two to load it).

You and everyone else raping this thread are acting exactly like the facists you loathe so much; the only difference is ideology.

The fact someone posted their wish for all the members of this group to die a painful death is a frightening example of this extremeism.

Ah, there's the "waah waah, political correctness" response I predicted. You do realize you've just contradicted yourself, right? If you're so adamantly against censorship, what's wrong with people voicing their opinion that some people deserve to die? Or is that where you draw the line?

Personally, I think racists and homophobes are subhumans who are holding our civilization back from reaching its potential. Unfortunately there's no ethically sound way to remove them from the gene pool. That's my opinion.

And you are very welcome to your opinion. I'm not trying dissuade you from it at all. I think serious threats of torture are a little morbid and dangerous to get into on any forum regardless of who the target is, but free speech dictates you can type whatever you want. My point about 'nou' apparently stands, as I made a comment on how political correctness is going crazy not too long ago in this thread, with many being ignorant to the evident double standard in play.

I didn't plan on enforcing anything. I just don't condone violence, even against racist homophobic thugs. It's not too productive to voice it in the middle of a debate like this. but like I said, I'm not promoting censorship and I'm not telling you what to do, I'm suggesting something way more effective that stops people over-analysing the problematic political correctness...

Common decency.

For everyone. On both sides. Grow up and respect each other's opinions. Of course, someone is going to come around and tell me common decency is too 'waahwaahpoliticalcorrectness doublestandard tellingmewhattodo' now.

Man, how awesome would it be to be able to just chill out on a space ship and stare at places like these.

Why don't we have Mass Effect-style space travel yet? MOAR FUNDING.

Well, you do have a bit of a, uh... high-and-mighty air about you. I understand what you're saying, it's just the way that you say it. You come across a bit high-horse'd.

Common decency however would be not saying someone is sick and disgusting for who they are attracted too. Thus this whole thread falls apart. There can't be a decent discussion when you don't respect the people you are discussing.

1. Would you care to name your great philosopher?
2. Homosexuality is not an act.
3. The entire world "turning gay" wont happen. This is like me saying women getting their tubes tied or men getting a  Vasectomy is also wrong. Unless you believe homosexuality can be caught and spread like a cold...
