Thus homosexuality is wrong.

Lets see,  1/2 the poulation wears a tampon once a month, so every other month you should wear a tampon too.  Where you put it is up to you I guess .....

I lol'd. Careful, though, depending on who they are they might like both of those options.

This topic isn't getting better, even with the beer.

If someone's gay and wants their videogame character to be gay, fine by me.

...maybe like in ME2 where you had to pick your gender before the beginning of the game, Bioware should just give a sexuality option? Not like I care if they keep it out or put it in, but at least you'll be able to choose your romance options.

Or just make everyone romance-able to all characters and have romance dilaouge options in a different color...

Thank you.

Thats pretty much all we want. The choice.

Its not a choice you need to make so thus having it there doesnt affect you does it?  No, Which you clearly realise.

Im glad to find someone on the "other side" who isnt just being a frightened idiot bigot about it all. I still think however this thread should be locked and the anti gay group closed.
I am sure its a violation of the sites terms and conditions; and under British law I am sure that pro-gay groups would have a decent civil case against Bioware (and EA) as the site administrators for allowing this kind of prejudice and bigotry to continue. Dunno about US and Canadian law tho.

Whoa there. This isn't BioWare's fault. I actually don't mind if they want to have an anti-gay group and have anti-gay discussions within that group, that's within their rights, just as long as they keep it in there.

This thread is ridiculous, yes, but it's not worth a lawsuit. Everybody who mentioned GDC is right, that's probably why the lack of moderation. They're busy doing other company stuff.

We don't give a flying **** about that stuff.  We throw the word N*****f** around too much to care.  You guys have civil cases about stupid **** like this?  That can't be right because if it was places like 4chan and 7chan would have been banned, you have to be joking me.

Just personal preference but would have liked possibility with Samara...

Liara's behaviour (even though her reasons were good) derailed my liking for the character. :< Hate seeing the cute ones turned into...that.

It is a shame to see how immature both sides are on this. The people supporting homosexuality are calling the supporters of heterosexuality homophobes, while the other side is bringing up stupid hate comments. I'm dissapointed by both sides on this. The heterosexuality side needs to stop being immature and be repectful while the homosexuality side needs to stop acting like some all righteous pricks and understand that both sides get an opinion and start repecting the opposition's.

Yes, I DO NOT want same sex romancing in Mass Effect 3. Why? Because I do not want a male squadmate eyeing more or having romantic feelings with me (I always play as a male). At the same time I don't want to stumble into a romance plot that I didn't want (I accidently stumbled in a plot with Jack and regret it). I do not care what your sexual orientation is or judge you for it, it doesn't make me a homophobe for not wanting same sex romance options, it means that I do not want to see them!

I've seen some of the options presented by the same sex group of having a different dialogue color for romance plots, I don't want to see that option with male squadmates and I don't want to see it as a seperate dialogue tree with my female squadmates. If it is some option in the options menu where you can turn on or off the option, I may be okay with that, I still don't like it but at least it would allow it to stay out of my gameplay.

I've said this with almost any topic that BSN users have demanded, whether that is what characters make their way into ME3, what events will occur in ME3, and now also with sexual orientation. Its BioWare's game, they make the events, the story, and gameplay. They make the tracks, we are taken for a ride. It is not the other way around. Whatever BioWare decides will be in their game (whether that means all Talimaniacs loose her [and she is a favorite of mine]) or whatever. BioWare makes the final word on the story and I hope to God that BioWare is not influenced to side track their story from what they want in order to appease the demands of the community. Whether thats characters, story, events, and sexuality. They want to add it then it will be there they don't, then it won't. Either way, I will still love BioWare for their work. Do I have preferences, yes, but I don't want that to change what BioWare's plans are.

We do not even know each species' take on homosexuality. What we can speculate: Asari have no concept or understanding of gender as if one uniform asexual society. Salarians have no concept of love as we understand as offspring are formed under negotiations of heritage lines. Krogan will have no respect or concept of/for homosexuality within their own as it goes against their survival goal. What do Turians think? What do Batarians think? How much has political correctness and sensitivity changed human thought?

The best way I can see BioWare going about and appeasing those that want homosexuality, they can add one gay squadmate. I don't want to see every squadmate available as a romance option for multiple sexualities as I don't want every character to be bisexual. One gay squadmate that Shepard can choose to stay friends with or pursue deeper relations. Do I like this idea, not a freakin chance. Would I live with it if BioWare took this route, of course. I just don't want to accidently fall into this gay romance plot, I'd rather it be an upfront acknowledging or easy to see in the paragon dialogue option that it would pursue gay romance plot. Not through stupid color coating but maybe Shepard acknowledging his orrientation.

To sum up what I've said. I DO NOT want same sex romance options, that doesn't make me a homophobe as many of you double-standard breaking homosexualality supporters keep calling us! At the same time, you heterosuxuality supporters don't help when you go about this discussion in an ill immature manner! If there is a homosexual squadmate in ME3 or a gameplay menu option, I would deal with it but my overall choice is that I don't want to see it at all.

If you don't like what I have to say, that is too bad, but you better damn well respect my opinion if you want any respect whatsoever for your views.

If they were reading the boards, we'd have some sweet Talimance. Oh wait.... I went to the loo when they handed that out, didn't I?

Edit:
Hellhawx, I completely respect your views. However, a gay only crewmate isn't really that great. IMO they should've handled it like they did with Leliana in Dragon Age. Unless you very openly say that you fancy her, she won't pester you and you'll be friends. But then again, I do want this to be standard for all the romances. I don't want my Femshep to constantly flirt with Jacob. I simply don't.
The whole way converations are handled in ME2 is icky with the exception of Garrus and Thane, who actually have "I want you" triggers and open up quite well to you on a "BFF" basis. even Mordin thinks people are hitting on him just because they think he's a decent bloke. That's just wrong. There should be proper "Flirt" converation options. That way everyone who wouldn't want to flirt wouldn't have to.

You mean "omnisexual", right? Asexual means "has no sexual drive whatsoever". That would fit the salarians, not the asari.

Pretty sure you'd break a few of Joker's bones.
