Going to such efforts to stick an accurate label on a persons viewpoint seems a bit pointless. Even more so when you consider their viewpoint can change in an instant.

I preferred it when waffles were being discussed :(

For some people understanding this little diiference can make the difference between pain and regret and moving on with their lives.  You are only ******, hetero or bi as long as that is that you choose to be or feel you must be.

Obsessing about labels is only relevant in those labels are causing you pain, which is very common unfortunately.

The greatest understand a person can reach is that labels don't mean anything.

Really? Jesus got mad once in his entire life where he upturned a table. He had a bit of a dickish attitude at times, but he was never hostile.

I'll pretend you already know about hell and for some reason don't think that has anything to do with being a dick.
Have you ever read Relevation? God sends angels to kill people on earth...almost everyone dies.
Jesus kills people too as well.

Hell's a given. You can't have good without evil.

Revelations is a standard topic of good prevailing over evil; the just and righteous being rewarded and the bad guys being punished. Again. To be expected. Plus, revelations was written at a time when Christians were getting harrassed by Nero. I've always seen it as a polemic against Roman persecution.

The confusion is mostly due to the perspective.  From her prespective a person is, what they currently are.  If she doesn't want any more same sex encounters she moves from ****** to hetero at that very instant.

From the outside perspective if she has even one same sex encounter then she is bisexual depending on the vested beliefs of the viewer unless she openly decalres one way or another. Even then the viewer may decide the contrary

Which is sort of the point for the atheism debate as well.
Collider's point of view suggests that a person that does not believe at the moment is an atheist, while I am of the opinion that lack of belief at a certain given time is irrelevant in the grander scheme of things. Which is sort of like the bisexuality ting. If a person claims to be bisexual based on one encounter, one could also assume that a person which does not believe at one time can proclaim herself atheist.
However, I do disagree on both occasions, since attraction or lack of belief at one time does not imply a sustained attraction or lack of belief for the rest of the time. It's the sustained lack of belief that I am referring to as atheism, while any possibility for belief would lead away from atheism for me.
Also "deity" means "God" or "Supreme Being". I think "supernatural being" is well within the limits of those, especially given the tendencies of humans to worship perceived superior beings. But that's just nitpicking now.

Edit:
And I hate you vegetarian types! Why can't you be normal like the rest of us! I sre hope BioWare never implements any sort of vegetable based food type for the Normandy! Every time I just want a nice steak some crazy vegetarian orders a salad! A salad! The audacity! I'm so going to open a group against vegetables on the Normandy.

My superior protein intake is solid proof that eating meat is morally superior to being a vegetarian. Vegans make me vomit animal blood.

Peace, love, and understanding make for poor drama and comedy.  Tragedy works, but its usually because it gets destroyed in horrible ways just for existing.

Hell's a given. You can't have good without evil.

Considering that the Biblical God (then again there appears to be some contradictory verses...) can do anything aka omnipotent, God could have made a world where good could exist without evil. And I would consider sending or even allowing someone (if you're omnipotent/god) to go to eternal torture for finite sins (stuff on earth) is pretty dickish. Not to mention I would technically be going to hell if the Bible is true. I don't really remember doing anything that bad.

Revelations is a standard topic of good prevailing over evil; the just and righteous being rewarded and the bad guys being punished. Again. To be expected. Literary elements and themes wasn't the point of our discussion, nor was what was to be expected. The point was whether God or Jesus was completely peaceful in the New Testament, and we have ample evidence that they weren't quite so filled with puppies and rainbows in the relevation.

Peace, love, and understanding are from back in the fifties when everyone was a hardass, we are now above such trivial things and will try be full of as much hatred as we can possibly imagine.

I don't see why you feel this way. I mean, what are we supposed to label ourselves based on how we could be in the future? I am not a vegetarian because the fact that I don't and don't want to eat meat at the present moment is "irrevalent" in the scheme of things?

Which is sort of like the bisexuality ting. If a person claims to be bisexual based on one encounter, one could also assume that a person which does not believe at one time can proclaim herself atheist.

An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in god. Could be for five minutes. Could be for the rest of her life.

However, I do disagree on both occasions, since attraction or lack of belief at one time does not imply a sustained attraction or lack of belief for the rest of the time.

Since when did atheism require a lack of belief for a specific amount of time? You'll be hard pressed to find any belief that requires you to believe for more than 5 minutes. Find me a definition of atheism that says you need to sustain the belief.

Also "deity" means "God" or "Supreme Being". I think "supernatural being" is well within the limits of those, especially given the tendencies of humans to worship perceived superior beings. But that's just nitpicking now.

Supernatural being =/= deity/god/supreme being. You said yourself that what constitutes as a deity varies from person to person. I for example would not consider leprechauns, supernatural beings, as being little deities.

If that's the 'if there is a god, why is there so much suffering' question, then it's a case of free will. Adam & Eve is an example of how such a perfect place would end up. We have free will, and that's why God loves us. That's what the bible says anyway. We make our own decisions, we screw up because we're only human. Free will with all the baggage that comes with it is better than being a mindless husk IMO. And come on, you wouldn't send the likes of Hitler to hell?
