[Goon O Goons]

Ok so I found the dwarf, Dwyn, who has the sword, but when he gives it to me, it doesn't appear in my inventory AND the quest description in the codex is for an earlier step in the quest.  Anyone actually get the sword? I'm gonna try some stuff but it looks boned.  Some help please, good Folk of the Internet?

It shows as a gift, not a weapon.....

Im having troubles with this as well, I talked to Dwyn and he gave me a key to his strongbox. Problem is I cant find the box, its no where in his house.

any ideas here ?

If Dwyn is still alive you don't get the key, you get the sword....if somehow you have the key it's in the room on the right of Dwyn. That's how I understand it anyhow.

Yes well this is my problem, I go into Dwyn's house, he is alone and i ask him about he sword. He says why blah blah and Sten says "it is mine". Dwyn goes on saying he wasnt told the sword was taken from a living giant or something like that. 
I ask him to just hand it over and ill be gone. He says "here is the key to my lockbox" help yourself or something. I looking in the rooms in his "huge" house and find nothing. to the right of were Dwyn is standing there is a grey box, but it isnt sparkling and i cant do anything with it.
Ive checked my inventory, no sword, no gift sword, just the key to Dwyns lockbox
thoughts?

nobody else is having troubles with this, did i miss a step somewhere?

Did you finish defending Redcliffe? I have had something similar happen to me once, only I paid for the key.. but if I recall correctly I was able to get it after doing the defense part. Otherwise, you might be bugged and need to reload.

If you hold down TAB, it'll highlight anything you can interact with. You can't see the chest if your camera is positioned a certain way.

THere is a little bug with Dwyn giving you the key. Such that even though you didn't go talk to the merchant at Orzimmar, you will still have the option to take the key from Dwyn. You must ignore that conversation for now, go talk to the merchant at Orzimmar than go back to talk to Dwyn, when you get the key from Dwyn, the strongbox will be clickable.

Yes I did skip the part at Orzimmar maybe thats the problem. So i will need to reload before my conversation with Dwyn and go to Orzimmar. I was wondering where this guy is, I was told he is outside the big doors to Orz but i cant find him, the only merchant out there doesn't have a lot of dialog choices, most are about how he is a surface dweller, and him being the life blood of Orzimmar, thats about it.

Had no problems with the other companion quests, but this one is becoming very annoying lol.

He's across the courtyard from that lifeblood of Orzammar guy. You may also know him as the guy that sells "Like new" armor.
