What would you pay for the 'Kasumi DLC'?

First of all, if you go through the game more than once after you've bought Kasumi, then that's just an hour and a half times however many times you've actually played it.
Secondly, it's a new damn character! Look at the story for this game; it is almost completely character-driven! Adding a new character could give you many more options outside of just her own missions. You can bring her on other missions, and listen to her feedback, and you can also fit her into your combat strategies, giving you even more combat options. Imagine, being a soldier or sentinel, with Grunt or Garrus on your team, and Kasumi. You and Grunt/Garrus could be holding the line, drawing the enemie's fire, and then, BAM! Kasumi backstab!
Seriously though, I think some of you are putting too much thought into this...

If BioWare releases it I buy it. END of story. Price doesn't matter.
It's because of this mindset, we will get sub standard overpriced dlc from Bioware. We will only get quality dlc if people stop blindly paying for every piece of dlc that Bioware releases.
I won't be paying for another Zaeed.
I quite liked the Zaeed mission, but it wasn't worth 5$, since it was only a mission and some recorded speech.
If this 1,5 hour is accurate, the dlc will be much less than 1/20 of the full game. 1/20 of the price would be something like 3$ right? (I'm used to Euro prices.) I know that logic doesn't quite work in terms of prodcution mechanics, but to me 3$ seems like a fair price.
If it's that cheap I may change my mind, but I very much doubt it will be.

I don't see the point of trying to convert money spent to hours of gameplay. Stop thinking so mathematically.

If this was truly the case, as it was with Dragon Age's Shale (fully intergrated with full dialogue) I would agree with you and be willing to pay.

Also - it's not just about how long the loyalty mission takes to complete. You get a new character who follows you through the game, with a new bonus power, and given her skillset maybe even a good tech specialist choice for the suicide mission. Zaeed wasn't just about his loyalty mission. With disruptor ammo and a huge damage bonus as well as an area ability that damages armor he is a great squadmate, and arguably one of thee best (certainly on Haestrom).
You can play the whole game again with a new squadmate. That's more than 1 1/2 hours!

It can't be.
ME2 characters don't banter with one another like DAO characters.
The integration is far simpler.

the problem with this argument is that many (if not most) of us would like to play through the game with Tali or Legion (or Samara?) yet we can't because of some arbitrary decisions made prerelease. adding in a new character able to do this is almost a slap in the face.tenshi_no_hone wrote...
obviously we would all LIKE it to be free, but unless it's really expensive a lot of people will buy it, given how addictive the game is.

Also, as people mentioned, this was clearly in game and then taken out. It's a shame to even have to pay for it.
What they need to do is address the issue of diversity in the DLC. EVERY gun thus far is a heavy weapon...come on. Where's the additional armor parts? Handguns? Submachine guns?

If it's as half-done as Zaeed (as it seems), certainly nothing. Otherwise, probably nothing too. It's too obvious that this content was supposed to be in the main game. I won't support this.
What was supposed to be in the game or not is irrelevant. Bioware's final decision is what matters. Also, you don't know what made Bioware decide not to include Kasumi in the core game. And even if it originally was meant to be included in the game, what does it matter? Every game goes through changes in production. You as a consumer can decide whether you purchase the final product or not. Maybe you should start contacting all game developers to see if they include everything that was "supposed" to be in the game, just in case.

And it's logical that all games should have the same price tag (at least on consoles) regardless of entertainment value in form of gameplay hours, replay value etc and regardless of production cost?vangj wrote...

It's logical that you don't pay say $15 bucks (a quarter of the total worth of the game) for content that is a mire fraction of that game. You pay what's it is worth and this isn't worth that much.

and @ vangj - the eviscerator is a shotgun, and the preorder bonus weapons include an assault rifle and a sniper. It hasn;t all been heavy weapons. The arc is only the 2nd one free through cerberus without deluxe editions
