oh STFU you cynical crybaby. You have no evidence whatsoever that the franchise is being raped. Deus Ex 2 is the game that raped the franchise and since the developer has stated that Deus Ex 1 will be the model for the 3rd game's development, Deus Ex 3 is the series' redemption.

In an interview with IGN, the head of Eidos Montreal has said that the universal ammo is gone, the environments will be as large as Mass Effect 1's, and the skill system which was removed from Deus Ex 2 will be back.

I for one am highly optimistic that this will be a great game.

No way to tell yet how the game will shape up, but I'm optimistically cautious...

I suggest reading this interview.

It definetly seems the mistakes from Deus Ex 2 were learned.  The things we hated about the second game like universal ammo, and tiny environments are being removed.

He said that they're going to make it more like Deus Ex 1.

Yeah sorry about that. I shouldn't have responded so harshly. Nevertheless, I wouldn't dismiss this game. The developers have listened to the fan's criticism and they're focusing on what made the first game great and improving upon it.

I could never really get into Deus Ex (never played the sequel) but this one looks could go either way, I saw some stuff in that trailer that I did like and some other stuff that I didn't, we'll have to see how this shapes up.
