We actually never see Duncan die, or his body. I don't think we have seen the last of Duncan, but I am thinking we won't like the new Duncan.

Well judgeing how Duncan fought that talking Darkspawn in "The Calling" I don't think that thats very likely.

Although I doubt it, I always figured the Topsider was Duncan. Unlikely (I didn't read all the Codex's), but the description of his acts sound like something Duncan would do.

The Topsider was an elf, and Duncan is dead. *cue funeral dirge* I did so want to put his body to rest at Ostagar and was a bit disappointed that we only got to see Cailin off.

The topsider is Luthias Dwarfson.....the guy the Ash Warriors are modeled after and tell you about at Ostagar.

I've always wondered. At the end of a Warden's life he hits the deep roads and dies a glorious death fighting Darkspawn. Do they really die, or do the Darkspawn sense this fellow is so far gone, that if they leave him alone, he'll transform soon and become the next elite soldier of their kind. Maybe it would be better if they had a big party among friends, and ended their life rather than feeding the darkspawn their next elite commander, dunno.
