I see. You had a worst case scenario going then. I ran into the Society of Leopold crash once. Then I reloaded and it got past that segment fine. The only bugs I caught on that first game were minor things like odd graphics or weird dialogue inaccuracies. If there was anything else it didn't affect my game in any way I noticed.

It's Activision's fault for rushing the game. Reading some of the developer's notes they had lots of great stuff planned for the game, including multiple storyline paths where you could join the Sabbat, as well as the ability to play as other clan's including the Lasombra.

I so would have loved to play Lasombra... it couldn't have been a more perfect fit. It also would've been nice if Lucita put in an appearance too, so we could kill her. :P (Personal bias on this point...)

Ah well, like most of Troika's best laid plans it didn't work out...

And it's Troika's fault for releasing a buggy game. Things have deadlines, you know.

Yeah, as good as Bloodlines was it's a shame it could've been so much better.  If you pay attention you can notice some dialogue left in which alludes to Troika's long term plans with this game.

For example, if you have a low humanity and you talk to Andrei the Tzimice, the conversation will be different.

This was going to be a point in the game where you could betray the Camarilla and/or Anarchs and join the Sabbat.

That was unfortunately one of Troika's biggest issues. Much as people like blaming Atari and Activision for Troika's mishaps, they did a terrible job at meeting development milestones. One of their bosses flat out admitted after the company's dissolution that their project management approach was a downfall, and that he learned what not to do in the future.

I will say this much though... Atari and Activision were both stingy as hell when it came to funding patches. Both companies all but abandoned their games shortly after release.

They should've delayed it anyways.  A few extra months of polish would've done wonders.
