I may never get another job!
Oooh and Fallout New Vegas, and Civ V, Red Dead Redemption, New Deus Ex....

Yeah, it's not too bad. I had a temp job and I got laid off about a month ago. I will have to find another job eventually of course but I have enough resources to remain unemployed for about 4 more months or so. Living by yourself can go a long way even on a meager salary.
Might as well enjoy the time off.

Yeah I'd probably have gone nuts by now if it wasnt for DA:O and ME2. Only problem im having is affording everything, had to sell my ps3, psp and wii. Not too bothered cause they were some of the worst consoles ive ever owned and I had an atari jaguar at one point.

Teachers are losing jobs left and right with most states in major debt. Education costs are the first things they cut. Last year my district laid off 21 teachers. You might want to get a sped teaching certificate as then you would truly have job security.superimposed wrote...

Managed Fallout 3 with all the dlc in about two or three weeks, clocked up about 120hrs. Curremtly on my third playthrough of Dragon Age, before Awakening. I'm thinking ME and ME2 again next. I'm exagerating somewhat when I say I never want to work again but I'm really enjoying having some quality RPGs to play, until employment picks up in my area.
My little bother's a bank manager, and he is seriously envious of all the free time I've got to play games; he's only just finished his first playthrough of Dragon age, which he got for christmas.

another FUNemployed bum here!
between looking for job and working on Unreal Engine stuff, i am on my 6th ME2 playthrough (planning to finish my ME1 Insanity playthrough sometime... sometime!) and hoping they patch the multiplayer in Bioshock 2 soon.

What features in Civ V are you looking forward to? What sets it apart from its previous installment?

There's probably, in all likelyhood, very little that sets it apart from previous installments. Civ 1 through 4 are are all pretty much the same, and that's the way I like it. If something is broken you don't try to fix it! I'm just a Civ addict, I hate to think how many hours, days, weeks, dare I say months of my life were spent on the original Civ back on my Amiga. It just gives me an excuse to play Civ again whenever a new one is released, and whilst I may be unemeployed, I have got enough money (or I have so little sense) that I'm perfectly willing to buy, what is essentially the same game, again, instead of just firing up an older version.
Though in all seriousness, new features announced so far:
Improved graphics
Improved Interace (less cluttered main screen)
Hexagons (instead of squares)
Improved diplomacy (fully animated leaders, who speak their native languages)
Advisors are back
No more stacking units
More tactical comabt
Independent City states (which in answer to your question is probably the feature I'm looking forward to most so far).
