I suppose my top requests are these:
1. More complex/fleshed out relationship system (as I already said above). Rather than having one approval meter that requires that you change your personality based on who you're talking to or who's in your party just to keep approval high (and obtain the accompanying bonuses), have one meter for "respect" or something that determines leadership bonuses. Then have one for romance and one for affability/amiability/friendship/whatever you want to call it.
There shouldn't be any problem doing something someone doesn't agree with but still having them respect you as a leader. For example, when Morrigan and Sten object to helping Redcliffe village, you should be able to reason with them, saying that even if they don't want to do it out of the kindness of their hearts, it will make getting into the castle that much easier if the undead are resisted/killed. Of course some things can (and should) be deal-breakers, like defiling Andraste's ashes with Leliana in group.
It makes it sort of hard to RP a consistent personality when you have to base everything you do on who's in your group. As a city elf, I tried to RP things like a distrust of humans and a desire to help the poor/oppressed, so I would think these things might make a difference when companions react to my choices, but they don't. The characters should "respect" the PCs personality even if they don't agree with the choices. Like Morrigan might think "bah, this is such a waste of time...but I can see why he would want to do this."
2. NPC's/companions should take initiative more often. I think it's a little weird that you pretty much have your "pick of the litter" as far as romantic options, and you simply need to say the word (and maybe toss in a gift or two) and they'll come running. I wish they had more of their own personality. Maybe they don't like you as much as you like them. Maybe they like you *more* than you like them, so maybe they make the first move. Maybe they like *someone else* in the party.
3. I think it would be cool if the group could split up for a portion of the story. Like maybe one NPC feels something is really important (see #2), so they say they're going to go do it, but maybe another NPC doesn't. Maybe you could go with one group and the other group could go on their own (of course you'd control them both). It seems like all the best epic tales have periods like this.
4. Another repeat of what I said above: a lot of the original companions back, specifically Alistair, Wynne, Leliana, Morrigan, and Zevran (though I wouldn't complain if they *all* came back). I'm doing one more "canon" playthrough before Awakening comes out, and for some reason, this time, I really became a big fan of Wynne. I find myself really wanting to either cure her or be there by her deathbed.
5. I didn't like the crafting, one bit. But if they must come back, please keep them as simple as they were in DAO. Just one click and it's done.
6. A simpler inventory system. I'd either like to see a "set" take up one inventory slot, or just have fewer tiers or something. There was just so much *stuff* to sort through, between all the different tiers and different weapons and all the crafting supplies. I really liked how ME2 handled it, though...just upgrade what you already have, and set appearance through a different method. It was a huge improvement over ME1.
7. Speaking of appearance, better light/medium armor looks. All the leather stuff just looked the same. Oh, and hats. All the hats looked weird in my opinion, aside from some of the plate helms. An option to disable hat appearance would be nice. I basically just leave that slot empty and forego the stats just because I don't like the look.
8. The ability to poll your group before major decisions and/or decisions that they will react to strongly one way or the other. And again, the ability to reason with those who disagree, or to at least not lose so much for doing something they wouldn't do. It's kinda lame to have to have a "good group" (Alistair, Wynne, and Leliana) and an "evil group" (Sten, Morrigan, Zevran) to take with you when you're going to do something good or not-so-good. Also on that note, if something like this is implemented, every companion should react to it even if you left them at camp, unless you specifically decide to keep it a secret.
9. Maybe some way by which you don't have to be the leader all the time? I agreed with Morrigan at the start of the game. Alistair, you've been a GW longer, you decide. Jeez. It doesn't have to be for the entire game, but maybe for some specific decisions you can be "overruled."
10. One last re-post: have it set in Orlais, and have it deal with Morrigan and the DR.
That's all I can think of for now.

I hope DA 2 tells a seperate story with new characters and I also hope that we will not be able to import our hero.

I have enjoy that also, I just think it is really to soon for version 2 and it took over 4 years to make DA:O, I doubt that Bioware will be making version 2 until after this version has some age on it and some expansions...
A sequel doesn't necessarily mean a whole new game engine. It could mean just a bigger scope than an expansion and perhaps new abilties/skills/etc. Expansions do that as well, so I don't think a sequel necessarily means more or less bugs than an expansion does.
I guess I don't know if I want an expansion or a sequel. I don't really know what that means.... I do know that I want it to be somewhere around the size of Origins, to continue in the same time frame, and feature at least some of the companions, Dog and the Romantic interests, at least. Me, I only care about having Alistair as a party member, but others feel just as strongly about their favorites.
There are a few things I'd like to see explored further and any/all of them would be dandy:
edited to remove spoilers-a whole list of them. How are we supposed to discuss this in the non-spoilers forum?

Walking party member, it's ruinning my rp experience when my freaking party is running-> stop-> running-> stop behind me like freaking retards.
Better sidequest because blackstone irregular, mage, etc was ****ING LAME. For the successor of BG the sidequest were 1000x lamer than any sidequest u can find in BG.
Also moar finishing move and spell/skill lol.

KOTOR's story progression [4 main places to go to and then the final quest opens up] is tiresome and i dislike having the illusion of choice when everything ends up the same regardless. Even Mass Effect 1 had this form of story, and unfortunately DAO had it as well, though DAO was the most glaringly obvious since your exploration outside of the main story was mostly restricted to a 2D map.
Mass Effect 2 had a good model. 'Gather the team' and 'prepare your team' with missions taking you back to the main storyline along the way. The only problem was that the story missions were too FEW and thus the story took a backseat to the companions.
If DA2 can follow the ME2 model of story progression but fix it's issues [namely focus on the overarching story as well as the companions] then it will likely be better than anything Bioware has put out to date [except BG2 of course]
Also: If your companions are mortal it creates a greater sense of urgency. While I was surprised when certain companions turned against me in DAO, their deaths NEVER hit me as hard as any of the deaths in ME2.
Because in ME2, your companions die fighting at your side, as opposed to trying to kill you because you put dragon tinkle on the ashes of a dead woman. So yes, more of that. You guys billed it as dark fantasy, and DAO was decidedly heroic fantasy with some smudges here and there. Work on that.

It would be nice to experience the land of the Orlais or go back into history and be part of the first blight war or the wars against the Tevinter Mages where you can choose sides and face the consequences.
It would be REALLY awesome to have more challenging boss fights. Where you need to think and strategise how to defeat the boss. Tank and Spanking in RPG is getting very annoying, I know Bioware is amazing with their storylines but it would be AWESOME to combine that with good AI boss fights (For the old school gamers). It does not include spawning adds or making the boss 2shotting your tank.
A simple example: The boss spawns an orb and it needs to be destroyed before it releases energy and heal the boss for a x amount of health or it randomly cast an AoE spell and it will 1 shot my whole party and you need to run and stand on plates to make yourself immune to the spell like a fire aoe spell and you need to stand on the fire immune spell plate ;-)
There were a few bosses with a few different spells or moves but it was not fatal, I could just tank and spank through it. I want to feel proud of myself to be able to beat a nightmare boss where your average gamer finds it too difficult to beat. "Thinks of Ice Wind Dales 2 days ;-) "
A better customisable GUI.
I see other posts included all the other things I wanted so I am not going to repeat that.

What Dragon age needs Is more expansions some in the size of Awakening, and bigger once such as the origins..
I mean take Awakening as an example, If they can keep building on the same system while keeping the intrest of theyr community Its a win for the community aswell as the shareholder..
Only thing - Ive found so far in dragon age is how little armor models there are.. so simply new expansion with new exotic armors to fit the varius new regions and we'd be set.
Afterall the main draw of dragon age is the story.. not the battlesystem.
And tbh id gladly keep paying as much as I did for awakening (more for origins sized expansions)...
To be honest.. there Is simply no needs for dragon age 2 for atleast a few years... afteralll while Dragon age is plenty modable there will never be mods that could possibly compete with the quality of gameplay we get from bioware's stories.
I do how ever hope that there wont be to much expansion which lets you keep your charecters lvl.. since feeling like a vunerable "noob" does have some impact on the gameplay....
Hopefully the next expansion will offer certain death to our chars
Also I wanted to comment on what some one said about deep roads.. Id have to agree the deep roads Is pretty much always the last place I go.. Mainly because Its a bit to long and repetetive to keep my intrest... kal'hirol on the other hand (while smaller) Is great, and problery my favorite area so far...

2) new playable races. At least a fourth. Werewolves are my fave idea.
3) new weapons: polearms (spears, pikes, etc.), thrown weapons (javelins, throwing knives, axes, etc.), dueling light swords (rapiers, sabers, epees) .... possibly also new fighting styles to go with that, including an unarmed fighting style if not an unarmed specialist class.
4) new monsters. Hopefully, an entirely new "menace" besides darkspawn.
5) new items. I'd like to see stuff that DOES stuff when you use it (besides have a self effect) like wands, scrolls, artifacts.
6) new abilities other than just overpowered ones. Like, disarm opponent.
7) ways to resolve (main) quests that might involve ... stealth, robbery, disguise, trickery. Let rogues solve quests the rogue way.
8) bigger party: 5 or 6 portraited char slots, maybe the other two can be "temp" slots for summons, illusions, pets, "temps," and other 'redshirts'
9) an arcane archer specialization, or something similar/particular for archers to specialize in.
10) more "unusual" companions like Dog or Shale that break the "mold". Justice was "unusual" in some ways, but not really. Still just a warrior.

So don't do that. Accept bad relations with characters your PC disagrees with. If anything, the lame part is that the folks back in camp don't respond to anything they didn't personally see you do. You seem to want to double down on the lameness here by making the player never have to face an adverse reaction if he doesn't want to.
