So i'm hoping to finally pick up DA in a week or two, i was hoping to get it for the PC, but seeing as i still have to upgrade my crappy processor and dump some more RAM into my PC, i figure that for the moment, i'm better off getting it for the consoles, doubt i can run DA with all the fancy schmancy stuff cranked up to max and @ 1680 x 1050 resolution on my current hardware.
Now i'm told that the PS3 version isn't as good as the 360 version graphics-wise, but is the difference noticable? i got my consoles hooked up via Component Cables to a 37" HDTV, 720p.
Unless the difference is mind-blowing, i'm leaning towards the PS3 version, not only to fill out my library of PS3 games since i picked up the console very recently, but also because on the PS3, i have over 150GBs of storage space sitting there, being used for nothing as oppossed to my 360 where i barely have 2GBs of storage space left.
Can anyone elaborate on and pros and cons of each of the console versions? i figured i'ld post here because if i went to the Xbox 360 or PS3 forums, all i'ld be likely to get is fanboy crap, hoping thats not that case here.
Thanks,
Cheers!

I think the graphics are better on the PS3 and I like the controls a little better on the PS3.
But you know you're going to get 360 fanboys in here saying "EVERYTHING is better on 360 cuz we're the best console ever blah blah". And then the PC people will be like "no get in on PC becuz consoles SUCK".
But there you go my honest opinion that has nothing to do with my love for the PS3.I have actually tried it on both systems.I have not had the privilege of trying on the PC though.

Given your storage issues, I'd go for the PS3 version (I'm on a PC, just for posterity).

I only recently purchased a PS3 (for the purpose of bluray and Dragon Age with my new TV). I'm certainly no fanboy, I plan to get an xbox eventually.
Having played the game on both (bought it for my friend who has a 360), the graphics are slightly sharper on the PS3. But updates and DLC seem to show up earlier on xbox due to Sony's testing/approval process taking longer. There are bugs on xbox that do not exist on PS3, such as a save file corrupting one that can cost you all of your played time if you do not have backup saves from before the corruption.
That is as unbiased of information as I can give, and I doubt you'll find anyone less biased. I can say that I am happy with my PS3 version, although it was a little frustrating having to wait longer for Return to Ostagar. Not an issue anymore, though. It came out last night.

Ive always had playstations but we couldnt afford to cough up 400 dollars for PS3 so we bought a Xbox 360. I like it a lot better then Playstation and from what Ive heard PS3 is getting the short end of the stick when it comes to games and their content.

Its no difference except the controller of course.
However. The PS3 version got more framedrops in combat for some reason.
The graphics is the same, the only difference you can see is the brightness through your console to the TV.

I got the 360 version, but man I wished I had gotten the PC version. The PC version has a completely different interface, that allows you to zoom the camera out to an overhead view, and it makes tactical gameplay much smoother. There are some "optional" battles in the game which I couldn't even imagine winning on the console version. You also are only limited to one summoned creature for the whole party on the console, whereas in the PC version, every ranger in your party can have a summoned creature (not sure about the skeleton). This alone makes for a lot more options in party configuration. If I could exchange my copy for a PC version, I would, but the DLC content makes such transactions fruitless.

i have dao on the ps3 my brother has it on the 360 there are noticeable differences in graphics the ps3 version is slightly more sharper the load times are also quicker on the ps3 but it seems that the 360 is better supported in europe anyway you can buy awakening on disc whereas the playstation version is download only from the playstation store and the 360 gets patches and dlc before the ps3

How bad is your PC, anyway? I run pretty well on a dual-core Athlon with 2 GB RAM and a 1650 Pro vidcard.

Thanks for the imput everyone, it's funny because some guy i know online that i play with recently says that the PS3 version suffers from upscalling to 720p (instead of true 720p) and framerate issues, so yeah....
I'm running this setup right now.
Monitor: 22" LCD Flatscreen.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate.
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor, 3800+ <------Seriously outdated.
Memory: 2GBs RAM <-------I was looking at the recommended specs of some random game recently and it says 4GBs on Vista.
Graphics Card: ATI 3870 w/512MBs VRAM.
If i went for the PC version, i'ld like to run the game with most settings cranked up and the resolution at 1680 x 1050 or as close to that as possible, why i was aiming for the console version. I can run Crysis with most settings cranked up to max and the resolution at the one that comes before 1680 x 1050, same goes for Far Cry 2 and while their some *ahem* demanding games, i can't help but realize that their over a year old while DA is barely 6 months old and obviously using better tech.
Thanks!

Console wise there are minor differences between the two versions. I tested both versions and I came to the conclusion that the PS3 version has better colouring, in terms of details they're very similar if not identical and here the PC versions kicks ass. For framerate the 360 is better. I only have the PS3 version but would like to get the PC one when I get a better computer. Whatever the version you choose you'll get a good game.

On some amazon.com review I read there was a guy who owned both the X-Box and the PS3 versions. His description said that the PS3 version looked a little prettier, but the X-Box version suffered from less frame rate drops. He said that the PS3 version was like a supermodel with arthritis and the X-Box version was like an Olympic gymnast. Either way, you'll be going home happy, but the PS3 version is prettier and the X-Box version is smoother and both are great.

I'll probably go for the PS3 version right now due to the storage space issue.
