Is the import method here like it is in Mass Effect 1, where as long as you finish the game, your game system always remembers that character, even if you delete it?

So far most aesthetic mods work on awakening. I've used hair mods, eye colors, white teeth and some face presets. These mods also work on the new character creation screen if you dont import. The mods that actually effect game mechanics like archery, spells etc.. wont work.
Oddly all my modded equipment was brought over (minus official DLC stuff) which i wasnt expecting...
Anyway great expansion. The character banter is hilarious!
facial mod and mod equipment working? that is the best piece of news about awakening I've heard all week..

Has anyone asked if Shapeshifting's been changed in any way?
If I'm not mistaken, I believe Ferret mentioned in the developer demo last week that they left Shapeshifting alone, focusing on the new specializations instead.

No more camp chat? What the....We can't click on them and ask them about their lives or stuff like that?! I see that the romance problem is only a minor thing compared to other stuff...
And i can resist no more! How does Alistair take it if you are the queen, does he see you as one?
Thanks in advance.
Wait...no more camp chat? WTF? I hope this isn't something they're hoping on leaving out in future DA titles because if so then screw that. I ALMOST understand having it in a fast-paced expansion but at the same time, why not put it in to eat up some more time in an expansion people are complaining is only 15 hours in length? Makes no sense whatsoever. Like someone else said, so in order to develop and learn about characters, you'll have to run through several times with different characters each time to click on this points of interests just to develop them? Sounds like a giant time waster and inefficient at best.

You pretty much answered your own indignatious question, but I did enjoy how you called a cut feature a time waster.

I guess my question is: is it still possible to have a complete relationship with a party member if you don't bring them along on a given quest? Or by not bringing a certain party member on a quest and thereby missing a dialogue spot, are you going to potentially miss out on some vital part of the character, like the opportunity to do a personal quest?
Or are personal quests, like Leliana and Marjolaine, Morrigan dealing with Flemeth or Alistair dealing with Goldanna, not in Awakening?
Too many damn questions, I wish amazon would just ship the thing!

No, there's still dialogue you can have with them in camp -- when they have something to say you'll see the plot flag over their head. Those dialogues are keyed to events the same way as they were in Origins (meaning something has happened to prompt them, such as reaching a certain level in approval, a specific event, etc.) What's been removed is the laundry list of questions that you could normally ask a character.Brockololly wrote...

So not spending time with a character by taking them into the party and actually adventuring them does limit the amount of dialogue you'll get with them, yes -- you'll have less opportunities to increase their approval in dialogue. I don't really think chatting up a character in camp and asking them a bunch of questions is the best way to do that, anyhow. But, no, you won't miss out on their personal quest -- that's a prompted dialogue, just as it was in Origins.
Whether or not it works will be up to you to judge, of course, but from my perspective it's much more effective on the whole for character development.

Multiple playthroughs should take care of this issue, I imagine (at least in terms of getting the most out of the dialogues).

I would like to know how is the world state for the Orlisian Warden, who is king there, is loghain dead, etc.
I'd assume Loghain is dead, and Alistair is King.
For the Orlesian Warden to actually come to Ferelden, there has to be no more Gray Warden loose ends, otherwise they would be the ones who would have to start rebuilding the Wardens by themselves, this means that Loghain could never have joined the party, as if he had you can't get both him and the PC killed, and Alistar would have to have something else keeping him from running the Wardens, as getting Loghain is basically the only way to get rid of Alistair, and him being King means he can't run the Wardens either.
It'd be pretty cool to play as Loghain or Alistair if they took over the Wardens, but I have a feeling the amount of effort needed to set a totally new Main Character would be a pretty hefty task ( or rather, making a new Main Character that would respond to specific situations in a specific way ), and I think the US crowd would be even more pissed if they were forced to be Alistair or Loghain an entire game.

as for the chat thing, i kind of understand now. if you wanna have a good relationship you have to "go out" with your friends, not just leave them in camp and give them some presents from time to time..sounds more real life actually

In real life if you want to "go out" with more than 3 friends you can. You don't have to go to the same place two or three times with a different subset of your friends each time. Actually if you wanted to make sure you caught every possible conversation because your companions often will reply to each other, since there are 7 possible compansions of which you can only choose 3, you'd have to do 7!/(3!4!) = 35 different possible playthrough combinations. Um, yeah...forget it.
