It certainly appears that way to me but you are allowed your own interpretation of course.

She's allowed to her own interpretation of what she meant? What?

Troll? lol. Men don't like Alistair. Women do. I will miss him in Awakening. This is my opinion. Whats the excuse for my dog? His voice actor couldn't have cost too much.

Last time I looked, I was a woman. I don't like Alistair more than any other character in the game. He is far from any fav of mine.

They wanted you to experience new characters. Dog isn't really that interesting, however cute he is. He does have some funny cutscenes and such, but there is a limit on how much you can do with such a character. He got his spot in Origins, time to move on.

Oghren is another story. Most people missed out on him alot since the game sort of makes you go a specific way through the story, where Orzammar is sort of the last place. He didn't do a good first impression and people didn't give him a chance. He got a new one in Awakening so that people would actually see him... and it seems they succeeded in making him more interesting since I've not heard one person say he's a dull character in Awakening.

He does appear , but if you blink you will miss him. BioWare desingers said that if you are willing to fill in what happened in your story that they have no problem with it. Sounds a little like laziness to me , but if that means they skirt  on Awakenings to work on Dragon Age 2, well im willing to forgive it.

So what happen to your dog? he might be taking a nap, a long nap. He could have chased a kid and have yet to come back. or he might have gotten a hold of some chocolate(curse that killer of canines!)

Steve Valentine, well I know for a fact he has his own Disney sitcom. I'm in the Band on Disney XD, its great and if your an Allistair fan you might get suckered into it.

You are missing my point. This feels like a completely new game to me. And that would be fine! But as an expansion, I expect continuity with my pc's story. Dog not being there kind of blows that doesn't it? As does the fact that whoever you rode off to rebuilt the wardens with isn't involved anymore. Like a completely new game from the way it sounds. Could have charged 60 bucks. I probably would have paid it, too. And as far as Oghren, so the next playthrough, get him first. Problem solved. I did it myself. And by the way, the comment on the women liking Alistair wasn't meant to imply that all women liked Alistair.

It is obvious that Bioware believes that taking away what people truly love the most about the games they buy and play is the proper way to retain customers. :innocent:

Now you're just being a troll.

Budget =/= relative.

And what are you being then? I post what I feel in an appropriate way. I do not need to stoop down to a level of name calling.

Not missing your point. It's an expansion for sure. You can even play with the same character you had in Origins, if you wish it so.
The people you fought with have their own lives, if you talk to them at the end of the game most have their own plans for life. Everyone can't hang around you forever ;P
Dog is still your dog, he's just somewhere else at the moment. To make space for new character that you may start to love just as much as you love Alistair, if you give them a chance.

I wasn't talking about me, I got Oghren first the last time I played since I wanted him in the party. But not all folks play the game more than one time, not everyone think it's important to get to know the characters that much. And Oghren's potential was a bit lost with the average player, if I have understood the forums right.

What cracks me up is so many of these ridiculous posts come from people who are clearly seeking attention and crave conflict. Many don't even know what they are posting about, they just want to appear witty  and end up looking and sounding like utter morons. They do not understand the meaning of a healthy debate.

Is there already/will there be a spoiler forum for Awakening? We're just a few days away from the European release, and I remain shockingly unspoiled. I'm beginning to worry that the ending of DAA may come as a surprise.

Talking about "them" like this publically doesn't make it better. Prove yourself to be the better person, and stop posting things such as what you just posted. Posting such things will only make "them" more angry at you and the thread will get even worse.

Ok, what about your romances? What about the human noble that married Alistair/Anora? It sounds like I'm better off creating a new character. And that brings me back to this being a completely seperate game. I will probably love Anders. Thats not my point.

Just because someone disagrees with your disagreement, doesn't mean they are trolling or being immature...aren't their way too many Awakening bashing threads being that the game isn't even released yet?

You are entitled to your frustration, fine.  But so are those who are frustrated by your frustration.

Oh boy. My point is this. Why come in and complain about complaining? Isn't that a contraidiction? Express your opinion but can't people do it like mature adults? The name calling and crap is quite unnecessary. I have stated my opinion, and I am having an adult argument with another member about it. There is nothing wrong with that, but being an a** is not necessary. That is what I'm saying. If one doesn't want to read others complaints, then one should leave the conversation. Not call names. Don't you agree?

I believe what she meant is  - if you cannot debate in an adult way to 'get out the forum'. I agree.
