I am in no way insulting Gaider. He did a great job with the story, as I have said many many times. I don't understand why you are saying that we are insulting him.  In fact  I was singing his praises last night. He is not soley in control of all that has gone on in the game, and I have heard it said that he would do little things differently here and there, more or less. Offering our views on specific topics and expressing our concerns is in no way insulting Gaider.

Some kind of reference at least would be nice, but it doesn't even sound like you get that. We shall see.

Would like to have seen some good dialogue and interactions with him - if he does become my PC's husband. Would have been fantastic to actually see a nice long cutscene of our Royal wedding perhaps. Now that would be worth the price of the game to me. I just cannot understand why a storyline was written this way and then it goes go nowhere; it is senseless to me.

Spare me, he does not need defending. He is quite aware that he will receive responses to his posts and he can handle whatever is thrown at him.

I would like to point out that I respect your opinion. Although I disagree with you. I said last night when Gaider was posting that it must be frustrating for him to read some of these posts. However, as I said before, consumers want a quality product, and have the right to voice their opinion. I have purchased Awakening, and though I am not overly optimistic, am willing to give it a shot. I will reserve final judgement until I play. I am not thrilled from what I've heard, but I will play it anyway. Let us be civil, people. That is all I ask.

sadly it does seem like it at times, I mean arguing that what a person said was wrong is  really really annoying espeically since an opinion is AN OPINION  which it is a subjective view so it can't be wrong.

what is wrong is going a around stating it as a fact and making threads such as " destroy all nug is a major dissappointment"  over and over really gets annoying,. yes we get it you hate destroying nugs,  cause it doesn't have the part were you could turn them into nug kabobs (you sick basterd you)


tl;dr your opinion isn't fact and stop arguing it as one, also stop knocking other people for there own opinion and making dozens of  " i hate this part" "bioware doesn't get it" hint: they do they designed the ****ing game

You have given me hope. Thank you. No I screwed up my game with a mod, and had to delete all characters because of it. Ohh i'm really mad right now. But I'm working on another one. What is your suggestion for class, etc?

Pretty much lol. The quickest I ever made it through was 18 hours, and that was with a mage, unlimited skill books, and those kick butt armageddon spells. I did the deep roads all by myself.

I would hate ifAwakening was simply more of the same as Origins was. Origins is a good game, and now I want something else. Not something completely different... but I don't want to play with the same party I used in Origins... After many playthroughs, they are getting pretty bland.

Well Virus..that is your subjective opinion about his voice...just as its my subjective opinion that I like his voice.

We aren't going to agree on that one..and nobody is going to change anyone's mind about it.

So just accept that there are alot of folks (more than likely female) that like Valentine's voice.

Last time I looked, I was a woman. I don't like Alistair more than any other character in the game. He is far from any fav of mine.

They wanted you to experience new characters. Dog isn't really that interesting, however cute he is. He does have some funny cutscenes and such, but there is a limit on how much you can do with such a character. He got his spot in Origins, time to move on.

Oghren is another story. Most people missed out on him alot since the game sort of makes you go a specific way through the story, where Orzammar is sort of the last place. He didn't do a good first impression and people didn't give him a chance. He got a new one in Awakening so that people would actually see him... and it seems they succeeded in making him more interesting since I've not heard one person say he's a dull character in Awakening.

I'm one of those people that WON'T be giving Oghren much of a chance at doing anything in Awakening.    

I'll drag him along where I must..but he's going to languish..in whatever passes for a camp...in Awakening in MY game.

well from what I have read you don't have to actually complete the game to have you file transfer over to awakening,but the game kind of fills in the story for you and I am not sure whether you would start out at a preset level (the orlais warden would start at 18) or what.

still I have absolutly no complaints about that,thanks bioware

Its okay though I get called all sorts of names for expressing my opinion....I am getting used to it.

But the way I see it is this...discuss the opinion   not the person.  Usually threads aren't on topic if they are discussing a particular forum goer...heh.

I have had recent experience with that..and usually try not to be drawn in but sometimes...the person is just bugging for a response.

I just think personal insults are not necessary to conduct a debate or discussion.

Wow David as a writer you shouldnt dash peoples hope saying Duncan is dead and never returning, now all the speculation is gone. I am disgusted that we had a whole DLC to get the kings body but duncan was ignored? Clearly theres a duncan fanbase and to never have him come back as a ghoul or even his dead body in a DLC so we can get his robes and honor him by burying him is just sad.

Poor Duncan.  I guess I must have missed something, as to why people thought that this was not the case.

And yes I agree, arguing about people complaining is stupid. And getting into arguments with these people is stupid. I apologise.  Just gets pretty freakin annoying when someone is afraid to post what they think without someone calling them a name or insulting their intelligence.
