Well I suppose it's better to indulge these gore/mutilation fantasies in a video game instead of on the neighbor's cat, prompting your parents to wonder if you're going to grow up to be an infamous serial killer.
Yeah, but I think the OP is harboring serious issues.
I was only jesting, not trying to be mean. Although I can't say that more violence in the game would really make it any more enjoyable for me. It would be gratuitous, unnecessary. Gore just for the sake of masochism.
That's what I mean too. I seriously wonder at people who want to see gore. Gore is almost synonymous with disgusting.
A bit off the beat and path, but consider this: I was working for a movie rental years and years ago when this woman came in asking about braveheart. Not the goriest, but Mel isn't exactly shy about showing you 'realism' through gore (try Apocolypto). Wanna know what the woman's question was? "How much nudity is in this?" I told her, "Not much, but it is rather graphic. I don't think you should show that to a young child." Her response was, "Oh, that's okay. I just don't want him seeing nudity." I died a little inside that day.
I am not commenting on pr0n either. I mean nudity (topless woman) compared to gore. What is wrong with parents that would prefer a child see gore than nudity?
In my view gore should be the 'no go' territory more than nudity.
