 In game violence settings default/high/excessive?
Edit:  Some content added and removed.

I am not talking about a Gore Bloodbath.

When you snipe a stripped enemy with the Widow should the head get blown off?

More shotgun blast damage at point blank range?

Is the game just fine the way it is?

Would just a few tweaks help?

In game violence settings default/high/excessive?

Opinions.....
Yes/No/Why

How about a system where if you hit someone in the shin with a baseball bat, their head falls off!

Oh wait, this isn't Bethesda.

Move along.

We already have gibbing and people burning to a crisp, none of the other weapons would have such a gore effect on em.

Are you implying that someone's legs popping off when you shoot them nice and clean in the head is unrealisitc as well?

It would have been cool if you could have shot a group of mercs with the Arc Projector and watched them writhe in pain and then their heads explode.  How about the Desembowler Weapon?  You shoot an enemy and they writhe in pain and then their entrails come flying out of their mouth.

Possible content:

More Severed limbs?
Exploding heads?
Entrails?
Eye popping?
Chainsaw decapitation?

Anything else that I am missing?

Opinions.....

Well I suppose it's better to indulge these gore/mutilation fantasies in a video game instead of on the neighbor's cat, prompting your parents to wonder if you're going to grow up to be an infamous serial killer.

*laughs*  They are just suggestions.  Personally I would like a little more gore.  Not necessarily chainsaw decapitations though.

The game you're looking for is called Dragon Age.

No serious, ME doesn't need more blood or gore, that wouldn't fit into the game.

Yeah, but I think the OP is harboring serious issues.

I was only jesting, not trying to be mean. Although I can't say that more violence in the game would really make it any more enjoyable for me. It would be gratuitous, unnecessary. Gore just for the sake of indulging masochistic drives isn't something I think Mass Effect needs. :?

Yes, but when I shoot a merc with his/her shields and armor down with a super high powered sniper rifle such as the Widow, then I think there shouldn't be much left remaining above the neck.

Maybe. Probably. Headshots from a .50 cal sniper rifle probably don't leave much either, and I think rounds from mass driver weapons impart more energy on impact. More gore wouldn't offend me, I'm not a prude, but it wouldn't impress me either. I don't really need it. Guess that makes me indifferent. Just my two cents.

That's what I mean too.  I seriously wonder at people who want to see gore.  Gore is almost synonymous with disgusting.

A bit off the beat and path, but consider this:  I was working for a movie rental years and years ago when this woman came in asking about braveheart.  Not the goriest, but Mel isn't exactly shy about showing you 'realism' through gore (try Apocolypto).  Wanna know what the woman's question was?  "How much nudity is in this?"  I told her, "Not much, but it is rather graphic.  I don't think you should show that to a young child."  Her response was, "Oh, that's okay.  I just don't want him seeing nudity."  I died a little inside that day.

I am not commenting on pr0n either.  I mean nudity (topless woman) compared to gore.  What is wrong with parents that would prefer a child see gore than nudity?

In my view gore should be the 'no go' territory more than nudity.

I understand,  and it's not an issue with me either.  I can do with or without.  A few little tweaks to the simulated reality so to speak would be nice, but no game stopper for me if they don't.

Yeah well that's just one of many cognitive dissonances that contemporary society is rife with. Doesn't make much sense to me either.

I have always found it funny.  It's not real, it's on video.  Whenever I first started using Reave power and watching the enemy go through the whole routine, it made me laugh.  I think it's funny whenever I overload a Vortcha pyro and it explodes.  I understand your feelings though.  Perhaps if they had violence settings in game then it could be done and still satisfy most people.  If they didn't put in violence/gore setttings, then no probably not a good idea.
