Inferno ammo and Incinerate give the appropriate amount of gore - but AP ammo does not. Sure Tungsten gives the blood spatter, but you would expect a head shot to blow the guys head clean off. We already get these effects with Mechs, but not with people.
AP ammo should not explode heads. It just goes trough and leaves a small hole. Shreader rounds on the other hand they should leave hole the size of a water melon. (In real life AP=FMJ and Shreader is hollow point).
But on the whole gore thing in general, I don't see the point. Having huge blood splatter can be fun (Fallout series Fallout 3 specifically when the engine is working), but it doesn't add anything really necessary to the game.
ME series doesn't really need any more gore it has and it has gore, use inferno ammo or do a head shot with sniper rifle.

Pretty nasty huh? I never bought Fallout 3 because of all of the stability/bug complaints that I read about it from so many people.Booglarize wrote...
If you want gore, just play any of the Fallout games with the "Bloody Mess" trait. Should give you enough of a fix to last for months.

I have always found it funny. It's not real, it's on video. Whenever I first started using Reave power and watching the enemy go through the whole routine, it made me laugh. I think it's funny whenever I overload a Vortcha pyro and it explodes. I understand your feelings though. Perhaps if they had violence settings in game then it could be done and still satisfy most people. If they didn't put in violence/gore setttings, then no probably not a good idea. The Governator wrote...
That's what I mean too. I seriously wonder at people who want to see gore. Gore is almost synonymous with disgusting.
Yeah, that would be fine.

Mainly because it lets me know I can move on to shooting someone else. Gore for gore's sake was fun when I was 14. It needs to fit within the game if it's going to be there (see Dante's Inferno, Gears of War, Etc.)

Instead you get over the top exploding heads and limbs organizing a mass exodus based on impact with a sling shot pellet.
Leave that crap for straight up first person shooters, I expect it there ... Hell I want it there, I demand more subtilty from Bioware.

Anything else that I am missing?
Edit: Is the game just fine the way it is?
Edit: Would just a few tweaks help?
