Inferno ammo and Incinerate give the appropriate amount of gore - but AP ammo does not. Sure Tungsten gives the blood spatter, but you would expect a head shot to blow the guys head clean off. We already get these effects with Mechs, but not with people.

AP ammo should not explode heads. It just goes trough and leaves a small hole. Shreader rounds on the other hand they should leave hole the size of a water melon. (In real life AP=FMJ and Shreader is hollow point).

But on the whole gore thing in general, I don't see the point. Having huge blood splatter can be fun (Fallout series Fallout 3 specifically when the engine is working), but it doesn't add anything really necessary to the game.

ME series doesn't really need any more gore it has and it has gore, use inferno ammo or do a head shot with sniper rifle.

Yeah, the blood level in this game is just fine for me. It is there, but it is not obtrusive. I don't want this to be a game about getting messy kills, I could care less. It just doesn't fit here.

If you want gore, just play any of the Fallout games with the "Bloody Mess" trait. Should give you enough of a fix to last for months.

Pretty nasty huh?  I never bought Fallout 3 because of all of the stability/bug complaints that I read about it from so many people.

That's what I mean too.  I seriously wonder at people who want to see gore.  Gore is almost synonymous with disgusting.

I have always found it funny.  It's not real, it's on video.  Whenever I first started using Reave power and watching the enemy go through the whole routine, it made me laugh.  I think it's funny whenever I overload a Vortcha pyro and it explodes.  I understand your feelings though.  Perhaps if they had violence settings in game then it could be done and still satisfy most people.  If they didn't put in violence/gore setttings, then no probably not a good idea.

Yeah, that would be fine.

The blood splatter of a perfect sniper rifle head shot does the job just fine for me.

Mainly because it lets me know I can move on to shooting someone else. Gore for gore's sake was fun when I was 14. It needs to fit within the game if it's going to be there (see Dante's Inferno, Gears of War, Etc.)

Realistic gunshot wounds? Sure, if it was even possible, but it's not. The physics of a bullet wound are incredibly complex and just not worth the effort.

Instead you get over the top exploding heads and limbs organizing a mass exodus based on impact with a sling shot pellet.

Leave that crap for straight up first person shooters, I expect it there ... Hell I want it there, I demand more subtilty from Bioware.

I want to add enough gore to make Dead Space look tame by comparison.

Possible content :

More Severed limbs?
Exploding heads?
Entrails?
Eye popping?
Chainsaw decapitation?

Anything else that I am missing?

Edit:  Is the game just fine the way it is?

Edit:  Would just a few tweaks help?

Edit:  In game violence/gore settings?

Opinions.....
Yes/No/Why

Go play Mortal Kombat, God of War or just seek help.

No, please, no extra gore. There is no need to see it. Same goes for nudity and profanity. If there was a need for it, fine, but I see no need. This isn't Gears of War or Mortal Kombat. If you need it, please tell me why, because I see no need for it. It adds no substantive value to the game, and my in my humble opinion, it only detracts. I am more worried about stopping the Reapers than standing over a clean kill that leaves my opponent with his intestines strewn everywhere all outside his body. To be honest, that's disgusting and gore is only added to game when other content is lacking. I don't want to come off as a ******, but really, it is not necessary.

It's already got a mature rating. I think it needs to start acting like it and stop trying to be an rated R fil that shows a little ass. Really no need to be ****'s and not want it lol This game was made for gore with FTL bullets and such.

It's a good thing at least some of us present mature, well-thought out arguments.  Or not.
