If you think about it then the ammo system is alot better then what was in me1.
In me1 you needed ammo upgrades like the explosive ammo to make sure your gun everheats with a single bullet, even then you were able to shoot multiple times before it overheated...

With the ammo clips it overheats with every single bullet that is fired, so the guns are extremely powerfull. But therefore the armor and shield must have gotten some upgrades too since there isnt a very noticable difference...

A cool thing to think about...
