Really? I think Mark van der Loo looks much better with a shaved head. His half-long hair he has now, THAT makes him look more like  "prettyboy", but not his "skinhead", no, that makes him look like a real marine.

And fluff goatee? How is his goatee "fluff"? I bet your goatee isn't any less "fluffy" than his (not that his goatee is any "fluffy" in my opinion.

Nahh, I think Sheploo looks just fine the way he does. Commander Shepard is supposed to be "the James Bond in space" and Sheploo looks just like that, a James Bond in space.

I can't ever bring myself to use the default Shepard. I think the biggest problem with the character generator is the lack of a really good preview. The head should rotate not just look to the side or up and down.

They should have what DA:O did and have a VA demo.  Or a situational Demo to see what your character looked like in game.

I got it!



BioWare wanted Johny Depp, but he was unavailable for budget reasons. So, they settled to a cheaper version.Let's thank the Enkindlers it wasn't Di Caprio!

Even better. I can't tell you how many times i got to the 1st convo with Jacob and thought to myself "what the f i can't spend 30hrs with this clown." Well it hasn't been that many times i guess, but enough to be irritating.

I know what you mean! That's pretty much the point where I start over again. I've saved Joker's butt so many times now in the beginning. Will I ever finish the game with another Shep than my current custom Shep? I've started to doubt it!

The problem I have with the face generator is that they always look completely different in game then they do in the face generator screen. The amount of times I've had to start again.



Create face--- yeah he looks excellent

Go into game---- my god did he fall into some acid during the loading?

Yeah the character creator really doesn't do what the character actually looks like in game any justice.  Any little thing (like the DA voice thing) would help out a little.

@Rigaudio, yeah I saw that.  Should be interesting.

My main MShep is a Sheploo, but I have all the others as custom Sheps. For me, Sheploo is Victor Shepard, and anyone else using that face feels semi-odd. Anyway, this is a face from the ME2 Face Codes site w/ a bit of tweaking and adapted for ME1...

I just find it hard to get over the fact that default Shep is a male model... Whenever I see him in trailers I can't help but picture him prancing about on a catwalk.

Also, none of my Shepards are the standard. Bother the lip-sync, they're still my Shepard!

And who else finds themselves really kicking themselves when they notice a small imperfection they missed when they made that Shepard (making the eyes too big so he now looks suprised all the time was a big one for me, or accidently giving the Shepard that makes you look 60 years old making it awkward when Ashley hits on you). Yet, despite this, fixing them when I download them to ME2 just seems... wrong.

Besides, my good old Paul Shepard will always look like a a Drill Sgt with a Goatee and Syd Shepard will always look like the Camp, Blonde, German villian from a WW2 movie. To keep with the theme my third Shepard will be a British Major General from the 18th century. Tally ho!

Well, I made changes to my femshep on transfer, but I had good reasons for it.

Reduced bug-eye from spacer (low-G) childhood

Reduced neck thickness from military training (cybernetics makes up the strength)

Added eyeshadow 'cos she suddenly finds a streak of vanity (as well as not having alliance regulations).
