Trying to find someone else that has a GTX 285 and find out how it runs with this game before I buy one.

I've got a 295, which is the same thing but with two GPUs on the card.
It runs beautifully, and I can't imagine that just having one GPU would really affect that. The 285 should already be overkill for running this on highest settings so long as you've got the RAM for it.
Normally, I wouldn't bother with this, as my card is slightly different--but you've been waiting an hour with no bites, so I thought I'd throw you a bone.

Nvidia cards do not perform well for some games under OS X, so that is why I am trying to find someone who has a GTX 285 in their mac that plays under OS X.

well, apple is a whole different league. if you've got a console then better use this to play dragon age. when this aint an option then buy it at an online shop to test out the performance. if you don't like what you see just send it back.

I have a console and I have it for the console, but I also have it for the mac, which is why I posted in the mac tech support forum to find others that might have this card in thier mac to get a sense of how it compares to the radeon 4870.
I want to try and avoid that, since it is $450...

you've got it for console and still want to buy it for your mac? what for?! there's no difference. the toolset, which is the only reason to buy it another time, is not available for mac.

Umm... what about the interface controls? Maybe Macs get proper ones (because consolens apparently have very poor game controls and limited tactical options)?
But Macs use mice, so no reason for them not to have PC interface.
