No, I would have rather they released her for free, since, y'know, it's cut content from a game we already payed for. Like Zaeed and the Hammerhead. And the Collector AR along with the Blackstorm.

We didn't pay for it, because it was cut.

we'll probably get more.  in some ways cerberus network is a free expansion pack itself.  there's naturally going to be splits in the plans.  aeed's quest was the best loyalty mission imo, if kasumi's suprasses that (in time and ingenuity) then i think its worth whatever meager price we pay.  I'm betting liara's dlc will be even more extravegant than that, although I doubt she'll be a squad member, maybe a temporary in mission ally like when you saved tali in the wards on the citadel.

I'm actually against all forms of payed DLC. Expansions, sure, but not DLC. And Kasumi wasn't cut because of time constraints, if she were, she'd have been released for free. She's been cut so EA can squeeze more cash out of us.

That an expansion adds more than an hour of gameplay.

You know jack all about pirating if you think a pirate isn't able to get the cerberus content already.

@those that say Kasumi would have been a half done character if included at launch.

She still is a half done character. No recruitment mission and no dialogue interaction after her loyalty mission.
She is about as done as Zaeed, he fits in modularly but still stands out as not being as complete as the other crew.

So far the CN hasn't disappointed me much, although I am not a fan of DLCs that only offer armor and weapons. But we also had DLCs with actual content and one is still in the pipeline. Not everything will appeal to everybody, but I don't think that warrants that the CN was a failure.

It's partially used to bring us stuff that wasn't ready at the release date and some stuff that is part of "Project Ten Dollar". Both are drying up, so we get to see some content you can buy. No surprises there either.

The b*tching done on these forums is disgusting. It's taking away the enjoyment of discussing ME2 with fellow fans.

Seriously, did any of you really believe that every single piece of DLC would be free from here on out? BioWare has to make money, that's business. They're not cheating out on anyone if the DLC is high quality and adds to the overall experience of ME2. Instead, people b*tich about paying for someting that was supposedly taken out of the main game. Really? Do you work for BioWare? No you don't, you have no idea how they operate and are only being a pessimist. Also, people are complaining that Kasumi doesn't have a dialogue wheel..big freakin deal. If anything Zaeed has better dialogue then the rest because he's not in the middle of calibrating, you can listen to him any time you want and he talks about all the other squadmates.

I'm not saying this to make you all stop complaining, I know that won't happen. You all have the right to say what you want, but the amount of whiners whining is unbelievable. Learn to be optimistic guys, I know you can...

I have not been to happy with whats been going on with the downloadable content, but its a little to early to be brandishing it a failure, lets wait until atleast we near the release of the third game then judge how they have faired to there claims of continued downloadable content support, ie. ME1 which had knowhere near the expansion they were claiming, im still a little skeptical but we will see ...

I only wish they would've worked on Kasumi for a few more months so we could get an actual companion as opposed to someone with Zaeed's depth (i.e. very, very little).

Of course pricing is also an issue, so we'll wait and see.

The difference is value, a full expansion is usually filled with a wide variety of content and many hours long. Take Dragon Age Awakening, yeah it's 30 or 40 dollars but it's got 25 hours of content a huge addition to the story and lore of Dragon Age and 5 fully fleshed out new characters to play with.  Dozens of new items and weapons and powers.

If you didn't happen to buy a new copy of Mass Effect 2, you had to pay a hefty 15 dollars for Cerberus Network, combine that with maybe 10 dollars for Kasumi, and your looking at up to 25 dollars payed out for what, maybe 3 or 4 hours of content with the few missions from Firewalker and the two loyalty missions, a couple of guns your character may not even be able to use and 2 loyalty powers that may not even fit with your character build.  And 2 squadmates that are basically useless because you can't have any sort of conversation with them.

Don't get me wrong, I've picked up all the content so far and will pay for all future content because I love the game franchise so much, but it's a pretty terrible value when you compare it to a full expansion.  I'd rather they just waited 6 ot 8 months, and put out something really impressive and fully fleshed out that bridged the gap between ME 2 and 3, which they may do anyway, but I'd rather have that than all this tiny little nothingness stuff.  And if they are going to start charging us now for what they were giving us for free, then I'd really much rather have a full expansion than a piece here or there.

She wasn't removed from the game. She was planned as a DLC - she has been planned as such for a long time. They developed the finished game around that, to ensure that she fits in flawlessly. That's why she's got little bits of code related to her character on the game disc
.
She wasn't finished when the game shipped though. Again, she was planned, from the beginning, to be a DLC character.

Finally, someone gets it. Neither Zaeed or Kasumi were finished in time for the main game- not nearly, in fact. Months since the game went gold were spent on their development. In fact, we only put in the framework which was needed in the game to support them later. We're very much aware of what the "hackers" were able to find in the PC game, and completely expected these bits to be found.

Speculate all you want, but believe me - we monitor these forums. The basis for this thread (the claim that dlc was pulled from disc to be shipped/sold later) - is incorrect.

Thanks for posting that Mr Gamble. People need to realize that with dlc content you do not have to have it to enjoy the game. Heck, I'm glad that Bioware has added as much as they have, considering what we got for ME1. And all of it so far has been free to buyers of new copies of ME2. I have no probs with the plan they have layed out, and look forward to whatever they come up with to give me a reason to keep going back and playing some more.

Then considering that the framework has been included and paid for by purchasing the disc; those hackers as you say(funny if they fix a bug they are called modders) have every right to inspect files that are on their PCs.

With the framework paid for and Kasumi being a partial crew addition, akin to how partial Zaeed is, I really do hope the price is within reason.
Please keep in mind you are selling DLC emphasis on content and not just the creative vision of an Earth mission with art.

Quite the contrary. By all intents and purposes, Cerberus network is a big step forward for episodic DLC. Just because you don't like the content that has been released does not mean the process by which the content was released has failed.

why do people feel it necessary to speak in such blatant hyperboles when bashing bioware? we get it, you might not like it, but you're not going to have a heart attack.

Agreed, 100%.  OP needs to rephrase things a little better and make sure to state that this is his/her opinion, he/she is not an expert on such matters.

I have not paid a single extra buck for the game and I have:

- A new shotgun
- New armor (sucks you can't remove the helmet but whatever)
- A new heavy weapon (pretty efficient and aesthetically pleasing imo)
- Zaeed
- Zaeed's loyalty mission
- Normandy Crash Site mission
- Hammerheard and missions are comming out

I might have left something out, but my point is I already feel spoiled.  I wouldn't mind spending $5 for some more content.
