What do you think? I think an Adept, since we never see him really weild anything heavier than a Pistol, and he uses crazy Biotics constantly.

We'll there was no adept class in ME1. So he would have been a biotic.

...What? Yes there was.

If there was i sure as hell don't remember it. It has been a long time since i have played the first ME.

Yeah, there was adept. They didn't change the names just the abilities and balancing for ME2

in the book he uses assault rifles and a sniper.
so I think he was a soldier.
the biotics he used were probably from augmentations sovereign gave.

I don't remember him using biotics. He had impressive shields though. Even possessed Saren just had that super carnage ability. I think he was an Infiltrator with the badass specialization. The 1st book really says infiltrator to me.

I've been puzzling over this myself. During your first real encounter with him on Virmire, he's shown using a number of biotic powers (Throw, maybe Warp as well). Howeer, if you choose to fight him again in the Council Chambers, he has access to a number of tech abilities as well (he used Sabotage and Damping on my party, so I can verify those.) That suggests he's a Sentinel, perhaps with Assault Rifles or Sniper Rifles as his bonus talent. (He uses a Geth Assault Rifle to blast those Keepers in the chamber.)
Of course, it's possible he's simply some bizarre NPC class like Turian Agent or Asari Scientist with a mix of talents and powers we don't know about.

Saren is the Omni-class, fear his Techno-Biotic-Heavily armed might.

I don't remember that. I remember him throwing a grenade and flying around on his hover board.
EDIT: Just watced the utube vid and it appears my memory is slightly off. He does appear to throw blue balls in the cinematic sequence, I think they most closesly resemble the Armature/Colossi blue balls of death. The image of a leaping Shepard made me remeber them as grenades. It still doesn't look biotic though, except for the blueness.

The classes available to Shepard seem to apply only to humans in ME1. Since he's not a human, he has some other class, like all the non-human characters do.

He is more like a Sentinel meets Infiltrator

Something between Soldier and Vanguard, closer to Soldier. Uses assault rifle when you fight him, wears heavy armor, has Warp/Throw...though I'm not sure if he uses them outside cutscenes.

Pretty much. He uses biotics on Virmire and tech-like abilities during the final encounter. How much of this he had becoming Sovereign's pawn is anyone's guess, but clearly the ME class rules do not apply to veteran SPECTER-turned-evil cyborgs.

I never noticed he had tech abilities before. O.o Any youtube vids of him using said Sabotage/Overload abilities?

Sentinel. He uses tech mines on the Citadel and biotics on Virmire.

My guess is that he's a soldier (I'm only halfway through the first book though). He mentions being "upgraded" by Soveriegn, which probably means nanobots or other Reaper-tech, which would suggest he's a soldier with tech upgrades. Perhaps.

He's probably similar to Garrus' class in ME1 (remember Garrus doesn't have a human class either in ME1, it was some sort of Turian version of the infiltrator that uses assault rifles) except with biotics possibly replacing some of the other skills (if he is using biotics). If he is using biotics, then he's possible the Turian equivalent of a Krogan Battlemaster.

Saren used biotics to attack you on Virmire when he was on his floatie diskie thing.
