Yeah, same here. Coolest looking gun this side of the Shuriken, and it's practically useless compared to the Vindicator.

Finally picked up the GPR the other day and boy did I get rid of it double quick. I'm sure it works for some people, but not for me.

You can always mod the rifle to your liking... except you can't mod GPR's damage, as far as I know.

I do hope they patch it's positioning when holstered. Also for some reason it reuses the particle beam icon in the weapon selection.

Yeah, I try not to wander back into the general discussion forum, some strange things going on in there.



Back on topic, I think cruz1al's videos were pretty convincing in favor of the Vindicator, but the game doesn't seem so difficult that personal preference cannot guide the decision to use the Geth Pulse Rifle. (Hell, most of my Shepards wear the base armor and no helmet just for the looks.)

Fully upgraded, and with your preferred special ammo, the Avenger is a death engine.  It's the accuracy mod that really makes that particular AR a beast.  The GPR, in my book, is only slightly under the Avenger for my favorite AR.  Vindacator fires too slow, and I can't stand the Rev's lack of anything resembling accuracy.

Console player myself. Enjoyed joke regardless, still funny after all this time.

As has been said: GPR useful, high ammo, fast (usually) rate of fire...Shoots on a sine curve: rapid rate of fire, drops to low, speeds up again. Vindicator more powerful, but less ammo. Depends on what you want, your tactics, your other weapons.
