Heres the scenario:

I equip the Avalanche for one mission.  Finish it with 29 ammo (maximum at the time with 3/5 upgrades).  

Shelve it the next mission and took the grenade launcher with me.  Finished with zero ammo at the end but somehow ended up with about 9 grenades left over when mission ended and I was back on the Normandy.

Re-equip Avalanche for next mission and now I have 9 ammo.  Checked my Arc Projector, which had 15 before I changed it out last and the thing has 9 ammo as well.

Can any devs give us some info regarding how heavy weapon ammo works?  Do all HWs share the same ammo stock (i.e. 50% in HW A leaves you with 50% in HW B when you swap)?

P.S. WTB 50% heavy weapon re-stock per mission from Normandy please

Yes. Heavy ammo is shared between the weapons.

Edi: Not a dev, just based on my own observations.

 True statement

Wound up using most of my gernade launcher on the recruit Thane mission. equiped the Cain and wound up with it at 23% next mission.

Not a dev either
