So after the patch, it seems most of the item sets no longer work.
Such as the Effort set (with Duty helm). No bonus.
Even full sets of a type (all same type, same material) no longer give any bonuses.

The only one still working is the DLC Armor.

Pardon me but.....where did you find the Duty helm and the Effort gloves & boots??

I don't remember where I got the gloves and boots.

But the helm is found by your dog if you have him search at the crossroads place.

I have this same problem. To fix, soon as you enter a new area un-equip their weapon or another single item then re-equip it. The item set bonus clicks back on then. A royal hassle, but it works.

Have no idea what will happen during final battle though. Ouch.
