"Your search for « black eyes » returned 10 result/s."
Phooey! My habit of jumping back and forth between here and Dragon Age caught me again! It's the drivers . . those elderly Radeons don't work at all in ME-1 / 2

Try it (helping yourself) instead of asking everyone else
Sorry mate, you must get sick of people like me just putting these threads up!
Have read through all those that match, of the ones that apply to ME2 the only reply anyone has got to the problem i actually have is to try updating my video drivers. I'll see if i can work out how to do that now!

Actually, there was a mixup, and similar symptoms in each of the two games on the Social site. It was the DA: O game's texture situation I was thinking of, not the driver mismatch. Rats! See my PM (apology for the goof there).

I am using Omega drivers on some recent model desktop video cards that I want to run Windows2000 with. Give those a try. If they work for you, go back and make a small donation to the facilitator.

Cannot seem to find an update for my video card. Nvidia say its Vaio's issue and Vaio have no updates, my specific card (Nvidia Geforce 8400M GT) has no updates on any of the sites i've found who you can download updates from to update your video card, tried one that was close but crashed my computer (rookie mistake lol!) so have now reinstalled old driver. Also reinstalled game to no effect.
The game runs fantasticly just no eyes and all black armour...
Here is me Spec if anyone can tell me if my computer just isn't upto it!
Intel® Core Duo T7250 @ 2Ghz
2046mb RAM
32Bit Vista
Nvidia Geforce 8400M GT Graphics Card

Well, shoot, Daskworx, not only is the desktop 8400 already listed officially as not good enough, but the laptop version is even worse by anywhere from 10% to 40%, depending on how gung ho the specifications engineer was about his devotion to the gods of lightness and long battery life!

I'm surprised that the "2Go" driver didn't work. But if you can possibly make the space for it, relegate the laptop to travelling, to only web-surfing, whatever, and keep it for that use. That 8400 is good enough for that for a good while yet, and the right platform for PC games is a "regular PC", a desktop.
In the Mainline class, you can save $300 - $600 choosing parts suitable for games with a tower to put the parts in, compared to a proper game-playing laptop. At the High End, the difference is $700 - $1000 or more. Building it yourself is quite simple, and saves a bundle more.
