This looks much better than those terrible AVP movies.

Wow, almost a decade and a half late for me to really care.

The first sequel shouldn't have been made either. No Arnold=no Predator.

Too many humans, as usual.

Why always put stupid humans who have no significance? Make it more Predator focused. Sure, at first, it was best to focus on humans and how they react to the Pred, it gave him more mistery. But we all know now what a Predator is. Focus on him!

I think that's going to be the film's greatest hurdle. We've already seen the Predators in four other movies...How the hell can they keep that mystique? How can they properly channel tension if we know more than the characters? Still, if they can somehow create a good movie despite those challenges, that's totally awesome.

I wonder how many future Governors this movie will spawn.

Agreed, one of the scariest things about Predator was you had an entire squad of kick ass people getting taken out like nothing to this thing, and you don't even see it in 80% of the film. Was an interesting spin on a slasher movie.

Alien was the same way, a big "WTF" cause you never really saw full body shots of it till the very end, and even then it was in a dark, flashing light room. Aliens was effective because you knew how bad one Alien was from the previous film, and now we had hundreds. After that Aliens kinda went downhill from there.

I think Robert Rodrigez is attempting to do the same thing from Alien, to Aliens... without it being Teenage Predators Angsty about their rite of passage.

On a similar note... AVP:R was a much better film then AVP cause it had one incredibly badass Predator with neat gizmos and weapons. I really enjoyed that kind of Predator. The Predator is like the evil version of Batman, he somehow is equipped with everything he needs for every possible scenario he might encounter, and if he isn't, he MacGuyvers the **** out of something.

Looks like an updated Predator 1 without Schwarzenegger. Anyone else think the new predator looks like a Skaarj Berserker from the Unreal series?

Does this mean Alien and Predator franchises are divorcing? Bout time.
