Opinions are like as...well you get the idea

Though i will have to play devil's advocate on this one as i don't care fore the fade section and since i'm not a PC gamer, i don't have the luxury of mod'n my way out of it :P at best i have it figured out that i can zip threw it quickly while collecting most the attribute points in about 30-40 minutes

I like how trippy the Fade is. It just drags on too long.

Also, Justice's trailer clearly shows you meeting him in the real world.

I quite like the fade. The first time I played through it, it was the middle of the night and I was really on edge. Everytime an abomination exploded after killing it was making me jump.

But it does get a bit tiresome by about your 3rd or 4th play through. Granted, by that point you can usually move through it a lot faster than you did on say.. Your first play through of it. The fade part in the Circle of Magi usually takes me about an hour and a half to two hours these days.

I'd be interesting to meet Justice in the fade. Especially as a mage character. For some reason, I always enjoy playing through the fade parts as a mage.

I like the fade quite a bit. One of my favourite areas in the game mainly because of the fact that it's mazelike and a little difficult. For all those complaining that you have to go back to get a few of the stat bonuses: That's your choice, you don't NEED those bonuses :P

Just out of curiosity, are the people that get lost on consoles? Cause the map seemed to work well enough for me on PC.

The trippiness was cool for about five seconds and then I got a blistering headache. :crying: I already have to deal with a blurry headache inducing world when I take off my glasses; I would like the Fade a whole lot more if there was a way to make everything focused...

Going into the Fade wasn't bad for me. I found it more challenging as a Mage than I did as a warrior class. When I returned to the tower as a Mage it took many saves and a lot of time to get though each area. As a warrior I chugged through it in about 15 minutes was gravy. Having the Fade return in awaking doesn't bother me in the least.

Like I said, I wouldn't mind the fade- it was an interesting concept. They just need to make it less boring, repetitive, etc...

I dont like the fade at all. I found it very boring, and more like a chore. But by my 3rd playthrough, I had it all figured out and could get it done in like 30 minutes on casual just to get it out of the way.

I thought it's already clear that almost all of us Hate The Fade and Bioware isn't going to put any more of these in the game? There are already projects made to help most of us Skip the Fade in the Origins, which shouldn't have been there in the first place since it takes away the sense of teamwork and many of us didn't make characters who specialize in solo'ing the Dragon Age alone with no party and friends.

I speak for most of the people here when I say I'm expecting to meet this Justice guy in real world and not in The Fade. Let us hope to god our journey won't bring us anywhere near The Fade ever again. Except, ofcourse, if we could bring in our whole raid to The Fade, I wouldn't have any problem with that.

I have been through the Fade so many times now,  ..heh.   I know where to go, what to do next..blah blah.    So if they extended the Fade..MADE IT MORE INTERESTING...I would definitely go back.

Actually I would hate it if we DIDN'T go in the fade again in the next dragon age games/dlc, it interests me with the black city and the spirits like Justice and Valor. And after doing the fade a few times yes it gets a little boring, but it was a nice change from the regular game play.

Please don't speak for everyone.

Fixed for you

Its all subjective, I loved the fade levels they were designed so even a spirit healer/Entropy spec mage could solo them just fine (by that I mean a mage with only 3 offensive spells) as well as a sword and board warrior (warrior was easier i admit)

I liked the puzzle nature of the fade and hope they do more much more with it.

However a quick read of the intro to justice and a watch of the vid about him will give you a reassurance that yes you meet him in the real world.

Meh. I hated the solo-ing, I don't like the lonely PC, I want her to have company. I absolutely hated the blur, it gave me a headache.

Loved the shape-shifting. That was really great. I loved the weirdness, and seeing my companions nightmares. Very telling, at least from my RPGing. And those extra attribute points certainly didn't hurt.

I like the Fade and the concept of it. The Fade sequence in Origins was fun for one playthrough, but once you know the puzzle aspect back to front it just becomes tedious to repeat it.

Being in the Fade without being locked in a puzzle prison could be very fun, though.

I actually didn't mind the Fade either, and found it no more repetitive than any of the other areas when I did my subsequent playthroughs. It does take on a sort of tedious quality after awhile, especially with the on-again off-again bugs, but only because you're stuck in it with no way to leave if you wish to take a break from dungeon crawling. Then again, it's the same with the entire Circle tower quest.

Honestly the one area that always gives me pause when I create new characters is the Deep Roads. I can complete the Fade portion of the quest in under an hour without any real difficulties; but the tedious grinding of the Deep Roads always takes me at least four to complete even on a good day. Who cares if I can leave at any time? It's still tedious as hell.

That said I enjoyed both areas a good deal and dislike the thought of skipping either of them. (Ok, maybe I'd be fine with skipping a few areas in the Deep Roads...)

Also, who is to say that we'll be stuck in the Fade for an extended period of time in the expansion if we do get a chance to return? For all we know it could be like the Harrowing or with Connor, a quick affair that can easily be completed in under twenty minutes or less. Why don't we wait and see before passing judgment?

*Possible Spoilers*

I want to clearly state I have not played the game, however, if you want a glimpse of the Fade watch the creature trailer with the enemy that rhymes with shcshmiple. There may, or may not be a scene with the Fade.

I had mixed-Fade-feelings, too. Part of it, I liked. A chance to be solo for a little while (though you can be anyway, of course) The visual - I'm kind of in water or I've got something in my contacts - effect was really annoying. Grrrrr. I got VERY sick of the forms. Speed up, rat! And I get to that point in the game on alts now, & think... eh. I have my 3 main guys - who needs another?

But I did think it had potential - mainly, as a chance to play your character solo, & the dream world aspect is interesting. (but my dreams don't have that 'old contact' appearance) There were some moves on my tank I'd never noticed until then, hopping around from character to character. I liked that part. The Fade could definitely use some rethinking, though.

?

I rather like the Deep Roads, except it's just too long.  And there are too many spiders, & deep stalkers. I could do with a few mobs, but that squeaking drove me nuts.

I also get sick of looting locked chests that deliver into my bag ONE mushroom.  I think I'd rather get more cash, less load.

The Deep Roads is made really long to give the impression of how deep you have to go to get to the Anvil.

But... on repeat plays, it sure would be nice to have the option of skipping Caridin's Cross.

The only parts i liked were the shapeshifting abilities, the boss and mini-boss battles, and the companion nightmares.....the rest was just not that fun and a PITA.

I liked it to an extent, but it become tedious to replay it over and over. It is the only part of the game that I genuinely dread doing. Yet, I wouldn't mind going back... so long as it is not as tedious...

I don't have a problem with the Fade as an environment, I dislike maze aspect of the Fade. Why is there always a Maze level? And ones where you have to use trial and error the first time through?

Good to know I'm not the only one who enjoyed the fade.

I'd even be overjoyed to set foot in the black city someday.
Only seeing it from afar just makes me curious.

I enjoyed the Fade, and hope to see more of it in future Dragon Age installments.

So speak for yourself, or shut your mouth.

Boom.
