Does this chick ever die? I'm finding it hard to kill her, even on disloyal. (for some reason, even the time I thought I'd managed, she magically reappeared....)

How do I ensure Miranda death? (preferably without getting the 'Shep dies' ending)

take her non-loyal to the final fight. otherwise there is no guaranteed way. i got lucky and she died holding the line.

Excellent. Thanks. I thought I had her with disloyal firesquad leader, but where Garrus and Jacob both took gut shots to doom (I've been running the same run multiple times to decide which way I like it. Cos I am that sad, people. lol) she just gets on up and says something like she's ready for action. Final fight it is....

If my other squaddie is disloyal, do they both die? Or will it randomly pick one?

Why do you want her dead so badly? She's cool. :(

if they are both disloyal they both die, and shep dies. you need to take on eloyal squaddie at least.

Nope.

If you have at least two squad survivors (even if they aren't with you at the end), someone else will appear at the airlock to lift you up.

Also, killing Miranda involves four ways:
1. Non-loyal at final boss
2. Non-loyal (or loyal) left holding the line by herself
3. Non-loyal (or loyal) with one other weak squadmate holding the line (both should die)
4. Non-loyal (or loyal) with two other people (and not be Mordin, Tali, Jack or Kasumi - they die first).

I thought that if at least 2 lived holding the line, you would still make it, even if both squaddies you took to the t-800 died.

Grand. Thought so.

I don't specifically want her dead, per say. (although if it came down to it, she is probably in my first 4 squaddies I'd say goodbye to...) I'm just interested in the death scenes and ramifications of certain actions, so I've been making multiple suicide runs on a profile with mostly disloyals to see how things play out. (Garrus is my squad fave, so that one was very sad. Was trying to see if I could save his disloyal ass if I took Mir to her death.). It's just been annoying me that Mir seems to always bounce back. (hell, she survived being swarmed. SWARMED!)

I knid of like the idea of starting Mass Effect 3 with almost noone. My Shep is usually sole survivor. Think of all that survvors guilt!

This.

Thank you. lol. I am so going to have to make a playthrough with this outcome. (The worst part being, Shep lost LI Kaiden on Viremire, and LI Garrus on suicide run. It's the opposite of everything the happy part of me wants! )  It takes a special kind of effort to make things this bleak for Shep.

Cheers.

I had only miranda die on my first playthrough. I had everyone loyal and all upgrades but I lost miradas loyalty when I chose Jack over her, she died holding the line. However on my last playthrough I had miranda and grunt loyal I didn't do everyones mission and never upgraded the ship, Miranda was the only squad mate to survive. I've heard you need at least 2 to survive for Shepard to survive but it was just me, her and Joker at the end.

Not sure why you actually want squad members to die...

I save them all in ME2 for their cameos in ME3...(where some of them die from things you cannot change)

Also...an outside look of your squad members dying during the suicide mission means that your Shepard is a bad leader.
