I didn't see this in the forums,  and I think is interesting to waste a little time reading this:
prezi.com/6xe1ucvy8egf/where-did-my-inventory-go/

German Version of the presentation (SimonTheFrog found this link):
www.krawall.de/web/Mass_Effect_2/news/id,53491/

For those who got problems viewing the presentation take a look a this (these link are from javierabegazo):

IMPORTANT: DON'T pay ATTENTION to the IMAGE that TJSolo has posted is totally OUT OF CONTEXT

Thank you, it was most intresting seeing some points from a more involved point of view. I am glad they wish to add richer RPG elements into ME3 though.

This. The outlook for ME3 looked really promising.

Nice. Controls are really annoying though.

I hope polishing extends to the cover system and running around in cutscenes with guns I shouldn't be having. And polish the crap out of helmet toggle please. I'd like to see my face in it it's so polished.

For anyone that's having trouble viewing the Presentation, I've screencaptured the presentation during Full screen, and uploaded them to two albums here

Interesting. They're certainly aware that ME2 isn't perfect (one of the best games I've ever played, however) so it's up to the fans to communicate what we want well. They're listening to us.

I just wonder how they know who to listen to. What if there are a ton of people whining that they can't carry around 15 different sets of armor and they decide to listen to them?

Just things that have been stated in support of ME2s changes;the focus of development was on the shooter aspect, the changes are viewed as making things simple to use(not dumb) and some odd supportive data.

Like having customizable squad armor can lead to naked squadmates showing a pic of DAO(a DAO design flaw), ignoring that ME1 didn't have naked squadmates even with customization.

More or less the idea is squad customization of 12+ characters would be more daunting than the intended design mantra simpler is better.

There are some video comparisons of combat between ME1 and ME2. ME1 shows the player using the power wheel more but still taking advantage of cover.

To show ME2 is more intense the player in the video doesn't use the power wheel at all.

Mining encourages exploration. classic.

There are future goals for ME3 to keeping the core gameplay and adding more combat options, rich RPG elements, and more complex enemies.

This is the most important image in the whole presentation and one a significant numbers of people on these boards really need to take to heart,

Then there is this that sounds the bells of how the project was approached.

You should be careful not to take that out of context though, I can just as easily add the slide where she says "Turned back on RPG systems"

The whole point of that was, BioWare makes good RPG's, but they made the combat too sluggish because of their lack of experience with Shooter combat

Accurate powerful guns is good and all, but the crouch mechanic was great in ME1. It increased your accuracy while decreasing your mobility. It even gave you the option when using tall cover of crouching or standing when leaning out the side. Great gameplay mechanic that is sorely missed in ME2.

It was so much fun as an Infiltrator in ME1 to crouch down at the end of a long hallway and commit yourself to facing an entire Husk rush with just you and your Sniper Rifle.
