I was doing playthrough 2 on my Engineer and Adept and for a change I decided to use the geth pulse rifle and get Assault Rifle training. It works really wel with the medium to close range skills and I believe it is a lot better than the vindictor. I am just making this post to strongly recommend to use this in addition to warp ammo as a bonus power... happy hunting!

The Geth Pulse Rifle is inferior to the Vindicator in every possible way with the exception of ammo capacity.
It's an awful weapon, really. I don't know how any sane person who's actually tried both weapons could prefer the GPR to the Vindicator, but to each his own.

Numbers be damned, the Vindicator is by far my least favorite Assault Rifle. Just don't like thermal capacity along with the rate of fire. My own opinion, at least.

I love the GPR on all classes. I really do not see peoples' problems with it. By far my 2nd favorite AR, the 1st being the Revenant. The only AR I cannot stand is the Avenger.

Shields/Barriers?
GPR does 1.35x normal damage vs. barriers/shields.
Vindicator does 1.25x, and has almost 10x higher base damage per shot (but no automatic fire mode).
