Which one fits you best? I'm not talking about how interesting individual origins are, or how challenging they may be for whatever reason. Which one feels most comfortable, most right for you?
I've played the Human noble mostly, with forays into mage, Dalish elf, and Dwarf noble, and the human warrior (sword and shiel build) is the most natural for me. Dwarf noble and mage were the most difficult fit. I haven't played Dwarf commoner or city elf, but I suspect that I would find those even more difficult. Now, that's at least partly because this is a world where life and decision making is just easier for the human nobility, but it's also about approach, starting character build, and the weapons at one's command--which race and background lends itself most to being the kind of character that one most enjoys playing.
How about you? Which do you enjoy most?
If you could only play one origin...

I like them all, really, but I always go back to Human Noble. I like the way she interacts with the world around her.

I found the dwarf castless most enjoyable. To me it was the most rewarding. After killing the AD you are pronounced a living Paragon. Its great because your coming from exiled to paragon.

Mage. Because I love playing mages.
Otherwise, I like playing the dwarven commoner.

Human noble. Starting high up, then going to the lowest low and slowly acquire power until you are even more powerful than before. That's awesome.
I guess it applies to the dwarf noble as well.

Female City Elf. Far and away my favourite origin.
Second would have to be dwarf commoner.

Daelish Elf, it's fun to play the whole this-warden-don't-like-your-racism card every time someone says the slightest thing about an elf...like the smith in Ostagar.
- Why are you in that ridiculous outfit!?
- mind your tounge or I'll take your lunch-money, worm!
- Aaaah, I didn't know you were a grey warden, please don't kill me!
or somesuch.
edit: haven't played City Elf or Dwarven Commoner yet so I don't know anything about those

I've played them all except Dwarf Commoner, and so far I'd have to say I enjoyed City Elf the most. I haven't tried it on a female character, and am told it's even better that way, but even so, I like it more than any other I've tried. I can't even really describe why. It's just my favorite, and that's that.
Although Human Noble is a moderately close 2nd.
EDIT: I agree with Nizzemancer, it's really really fun to make people stumble over themselves whenever they mention that you're an elf.

My heart says, elven mage like Marik above, but I played the HFN as a rogue and, boy, she's a keeper. It was great getting to lay your mum's best friend's son and then have all that hassle kicking off. Eventually you get to slay Howe and then QUEEN! Wow, just, wow.

Dwarf commoner, human noble, city elf/dwarf noble (can't decide), mage (any), dalish elf is my person preference order.

Human Mage, because if I were any class in a fantasy world, I would be a mage for sure. It fits my personality.

Human Noble. Lost so much, found friends and love to have something to live for, and died at the end to save it. Perfect tragic hero.
Was my 1st character concept and it really made a huge impression.

Human Mage suits how i play, but in terms of story, impact, and sence of duty, has to be Human Noble.
Also i enjoy playing as a tanking class, aswell as a magic/healer class, which you need to play two different origins.

First place is a tie: Dalish Elf as Male and Elf Mage as Female.
Second place is also a tie: City Elf (Rogue) and Human Noble (Warrior), Both as female.
I dislike Orzammar, and while I played Both Noble and Commoner Dwarves, I only completed Orzammar as a Grey Warden, lord Harrowmont as King, and only got to Ostagar as the Commoner. Both games Deleted.

I would say dwarf noble really fits best for me. This character focuses on the overall mission of the Blight the most. A comparison would be Commander Shepard going after the reapers because of what the threat means to humanity. The dwarf noble goes after the darkspawn because of what the threat means to the dwarven people (along with humans and elves since they're also covered under the grey warden service warranty). The dwarf noble brings out the "commander" in my playstyle so I'm able to zero in on the overall mission better. I completely lost that focus with the human noble. It was more of a personal revenge-driven type of story while the Blight was something that merely got in the way. The elves were somewhere in between for me.

I liked most of them. The mage origin and Dalish werent as exciting as the others.
Dwarf Noble - You are the most praised Prince in Orzammar, the people love you, the nobles love you. I mean it was so real I totally forgot the game was based on defeating the Blight and that I would soon be the next King. But seeing Bhelen betray me after saying how I was his favorite brother brought out the anger in me.
Human Noble - This one had the best interaction. You can be leniant with your soldiers, bed a hot elf, have emotional talks with your mother and father. Seeing your home being burnt down around you and the people you knew all your life being killed was a heartbreaker.
City Elf - Did this only as a male so far. Went with a badass attitude. Was starting fights with the Nobles, with Duncan, and wreaked havoc in the Arl's estate. Was a BA way to go out.
Dwarf Commoner - I did this one last, as I thought it would suck. But you had a true sense of being a poor thug. When you get the chance to prove yourself, you are thrown in prison. But escape and become a Grey Warden. It was hard to leave Rica behind - and it sucks that Leske betrayed you. But all well.
Overall the human noble was my favorite.

Dwarf commoner, then mage (human). Rogue->mage->warrior. I like the way the humans look but I think I get more out of playing a dwarf than I do a human noble.

I don't know. I've played Mage twice in six characters - they've both ended up Arcane Warriors - and two of my other characters have been DW Warriors. Also, four of the six have been Elves.
I think I'd want a Dual-Wielding Arcane Warrior Elf.
