games R13 here but ive noticed that most damn under 15s are so immature here that they might as well be 12.
This game really should of been R16 in NZ.. all the time I hear some 13 year old going on about Mirandas boobies or some other crap..

For instance I bought Falout 1 & 2, very M rated when I was 12 or 13. No problem, had problems getting Dungeon Keeper though. But I bet I could have went back later and with a different clerk and they would have let me pass.

Because its got the F word. Yeah, I rate a game on language after my mother. Was telling me to F off on a daily basis when I was a kid. Hell even my teachers have told me to go F myself and this is the US. You know for a country with freedom of speech. Its really not free until your 18 even then its not. HAHA!

And the markings are "violent episodes" and "offensive language".
Oh dear.

No one in America seems to pay any attention to ratings, though. Doesn't stop kids from playing. Doesn't stop their parents from whining about it when they find out that the M rated game they bought for their seven year old has a glimpse of side boob in it, and it doesn't stop the ignorant masses from taking that parents side rather than telling them that they were warned and to take a little responsibility.
I'm not even sure why we bother.

I bet its the Sexual Content and Strong Language that is the reason why it is M here.

Every form of media in America is rated on one standard: "How much does it ****** off the christians?" The more it does, the stricter the rating.

For instance: MGS Portable Ops was released with an M rating, absolutely no content in it would have lead to that, its expansion was rating T and it was the exact same except it didn't have a story mode.

Lord Coake wrote...
It's rated "M" but it's ludicrously easy to get that rating. Generally speaking, if it in any way offends a soccer mom, puritanical twit or brainless bible beater, it gets an "M" rating. And even then only because the soccer mom had enough brain cells left in her head to block the puritan and fundie from giving it an "Adults Only" rating.

Indeed.
