So, here's a problem I'm having. I'm playing a renegade character, but I'm trying not to be a total jerk all the time, so I want to "focus on sovereign" at the end, not "let the council die". But, I do not want to make myself look like a pro-human xenophobe, so I want to make a "human-led council" instead of an all human council. Apparently, I need to be a paragon to make the human-led council.

So what the heck do I do? I suppose I'll use the infinite morality points glitch on Noveria, max-out paragon first to make the game think I'm a paragon, and then go on my merry way with my renegade choices. Otherwise, if it doesn't work, I'll just have to save the council instead.

is it even possible to have an all human council? Do they meet with you on the citadel if you do end up making an all human council in ME2?

It is possible, but they refuse to meet with you.

Yeah, I hear it goes like this:

Save the council: Same council + human member

Dead council Paragon: new council led by human member

Dead council Renegade: new council with only humans

By the way, anyone know what decides if you are "considered" paragon or renegade? How do I get the ending I want anyways?

"what decides if you are "considered" paragon or renegade? How do I get the ending I want anyways?"

I keep asking that myself. Stopped doing it after ME1, but it seems as if promoting human interests and imulsively acting upon instinct is considered "Renegade", while acting politely and for the better of the whole community is "Paragon". Not much of a help either, I know.

I think there is this choice no matter if you are renegade or paragon. Even if you are full renegade you still have the chance to save the council i believe. What makes you end up with a renegade/paragon ending it's how you choose: Or I might be wrong...

In terms of this particular decision I'm pretty sure it's just what's higher your Paragon or Renegade.  In the event of a tie I think it defaults to Paragon but not sure.  In terms of the greater question of "what is Paragon/Renegade?" That's a little less clear cut.

you can choose whichever way you want to go; i replayed me1 to import a renegade, and saved the council anyway, just for kicks. the citadel's a much friendlier place to someone who saved the council.
