I've heard geese flying over one's house is a sign someone who lives there will soon die. I wonder what this means? Other than the goose blowing it all on birdseed and gambling, anyway.

This is true. Getting mugged by seagulls isn't a pleasant experience.

Very ture. I learned at a young age if you plan to eat on the beach you bring a tennis racket or lacross stick. That way you do not injur the bird but you can play catch with them :)

You aint kidding. When I worked on a farm one of the more experianced farm hands said to me "we need to seperate that rooster for studding, so go grab him"  I am the owner of about a dozen scars from that experiance.

Do not underestimate birds. They are damned cruel.

That pick up top reminds me of when i was a kid and we had a goose.

It was a vicious little thing that would attack the heels of anyone who went into the backyard until we "sent it to live on a farm"

Well I was never attacked but three chickens tried to jump me. They acted like a thug gang and followed me... I kept running and they were so close... the chase probably lasted an hour and I think it was around 2 miles. Had a fear to get close to birds for about 2 years since that experience.
