Sorry Tali fans, but I hated Tali in ME1, and in my first playthrough in ME2 i hated her still but slowly i started to like her more and more. Now shes my favorite next to Garrus, Miranda, and Grunt. Similiar thing happened with Thane, I used to think he was to pasient and was my least favorite but now i really like him. What about you? Have any similiar situations?
Any squadmates you didnt like at first but grew on you.

I was very MEH on Grunt at first. It wasn't until my second playthrough that I started to appreciate him.

I didn't like Samara very much at first, but she grew on me and now I take her on most my missions. I still don't like Miranda though. I wouldn't kill her if I could, I just wish she would get the hell off my ship.

Grunt and Jack. Didn't care for them much on my first playthrough. Went back again and they're actually pretty cool characters.

I think Grunt on your first playthrough just suffers from the fact that you're comparing him to Wrex and in that regard he doesn't measure up. Later though I started to listen to him for what he was and he grew quite a bit on me.

I didn't like Miranda at first because of how her attitude was, but after conversing with her on the ship and especially after her loyalty mission, I saw how sweet of a person she is, and I then realized why she is the way she is. She's my favorite now.
Same with Jack. I don't like her as a romance, but as a character, I do. I hated her at first. Beautiful face but sailor mouth, nasty tattoos, shaved head, etc. After knowing what she went through and talking to her, she grew on me

From the trailers that I watched I was prepared to HATE all of them. I guess that Thane and Jack grew on me the most.
Note: As it turns out I liked most of the other characters right off the bat. Right now only Jacob is in the doghouse with me ....

It's nice to see so many people are so shallow and judgemental and don't even give Jack a chance. Instead they just go for the chick with the fat ass. Clear evidence of simple mindedness.

Well before playing ME2 I was sure I was going to hate Jack, Grunt, and Legion. However each of them won me over very quickly after I recruited them. I am pleased to say that my intiution regarding them was dead wrong.
Tali is also another character who grew on me, the same with Garrus. My first playthrough or two of ME1 I didn't take much notice of either of them. Over time however as I took them around on subsequent play throughs, talking to them on mission worlds, and listening to them in elevators, I came to like them a lot.

Samara. She came off as a diva during her cutscene and I'd thought I'd hate her, but she turned out to be an ok personality and one of the better squaddies.

I had the same thing... I was like "Pffffttt, he's not Wrex!" but over time I started seeing him as a loveable 700lb kid who likes scrappin'

I didn't like Grunt much at first, but didn't mind him so much by the end. Some of his dialog trees are fun. I generally don't like big dumb warrior types in General. I also never cared much about Wrex, and wish I'd left Sten to die in his cage...

I developed a loathing for Jack from the pre-launch stuff, but after playing the game, I found that she wasn't quite the selfish psychotic fool I pegged her for. She's just a survivor, and I couldn't fault her for that.
Still, she creeps me out to no end.

I've tried so hard to like Jacob. And as soon as I start thinking, "Meh I guess he's ok," he then says something that makes me think, "Jacob... stfu."
