Try exporting the your level with the single player campaign loaded into the toolset. For some strange reason, this seems to correct some of the common glitches like water and lighting. See the water plane post stickied at the top of this forum for more information. This should fix the character lighting. I don't know about the blue haze.

29 days later I fixed it: Seems it was showing the skybox. When I disabled the skybox model it disappeared.
