Is anybody else like me? By the time ME3 comes out, there will be a bunch of DLC content. All my old playthroughs will become obsolete now that Kasumi will come out, and more DLC planned on the way. I mean storywise, certain DLC could have an impact in ME3 in some way, shape or form.

What irritates me is that I really want to play when the new content comes out, but then I know down the road, more content will come out, so might as well wait for it all to come out, you know what I mean?

ehh, it's not like ME1 anymore you can still keep playing after the ME2 main story is complete, which isn't entirely pointless seeing as Shepard hasn't fulfilled his/her goals of ridding the reaper threat.

That's the reason why the game doesn't just end after the suicide mission, you can go complete N7 missions and DLC, it just... acts like you did them prior to the final mission. I think this was a complaint with DLC in ME1. People didn't like the idea of having to do another playthrough just to do Bring Down the Sky.

If you make saves before the disabled collector ship and after the suicide mission, you shouldn't have to replay completely.

lol, I'm like that. Staying away from playing ME2 for the moment until the Hammerhead comes out :P Then it's time for NG+ Insanity as an Infiltrator :)

I'm currently working on my "single Shepard" ME1 playthrough, then I'm waiting until both the Hammerhead and Kasumi are released before importing.

Really it's just an excuse to playthrough it again. In terms of the feel of the universe, ME2 is so...so good.

Yeah, felt the same with the new character.

Nevermind, I have a save before getting the IFF, for the sole purpose of the 12th character, and I like the suicide mission anyways.

So it's six more suicide missions, hee-hee

Yep. And I suspect we might would've seen more DLCs than 2 if there were any post-game content in ME1. Having to replay the whole game really could've hurt the sales and popularity of BDtS. So I'm ready and hoping for a few more DLC add-ons this time around.

PS: am I the only one hoping we get a DLC in which we can re-play missions with alternate characters? Like bringing Tali to Archangel recruitment. I know you can always mod, but an official option would be really nice. The option to replay the Suicide Mission, in particular, would be greatly welcomed.

That's what I'm doing now.. Replaying my first character in ME1, the one I originally imported to ME2 at level 50. Figured I'd make it to 60 with him and reimport him when the new DLC's arrive. Already at Virmire though so I'm not sure what to do when I'm done.. Restart again as another class maybe. Don't want to start a new ME2 game before I get the new DLC's

I tried to wait till the Hammerhead, and Kasumi came out before starting my Insanity playthrough.  But I failed miserably, and found myself playing through it.  So then I thought, okay I just won't do the IFF until it comes out.  And failed there too.

So, uh, I am now on my 4th?  5th?  playthrough, and I get the feeling it won't last allllll the way to April!

Although you can play the DLC post-game and I won't be starting a new playthrough anytime soon, I will undoubtedly make my final playthrough begin right before Mass Effect 3 with all DLC included. That way I can refresh my memory and have a full save-gam to import

I'll just do new Mission-based DLC as they arrive as my alt, and just save the big replaythrough of my main Shep for when the last bit of ME2 DLC has been released. That'll at least let me experience and learn it.

And no, I don't enjoy the game enough that I'm going to replay it every time they release a new weapon. :P

I've got a renegade character and a NG+ paragon character stopped right before the IFF mission. Everything is done (except Legion's quest) so as the DLC comes out, I'll do it. Then, when the last DLC is downloaded and we're pouring over the screenies and promos from ME3, I'll finish both games and squat naked by the mailbox until UPS delivers my copy of ME3.
